The Underground (literally)

I want to try to find my way down into underground sewers, passages, railway tunnels, etc. I know they're there, I can see them under the sidewalk. I have searched high and low for a sewer or tunnel map of my city (St. Louis) and I have been without luck. Can anyone can tell me where to look, who to ask, or have any advice on how to get down there. I'm sure I could just follow the metro train tracks but that is pretty risky with the cameras and 10000 some odd watts of electricity.

Hey, it's dangerous down there, but I also wanted to ask why you want to go down there? There isn't anything down there except a terrible smell and a cesspool of nastyness, so I would just steer clear of the sewers unless you really needed to get in for some reason.

I was more talking about the subway tunnels. Sewers were just an example. I was thinking that a sewer layout map would have to account for things like the railway tunnels and old cold war bomb shelters that are deep below the city streets in st. louis.

Yeah but there aint any abandoned subway tunnels. our subway system is fairly new (about 10 years.) But apparently there are a bunch of old tunnels from the cival war...
Now abandoned biuldings on the other hand, we got plenty of them. Me and some friends had this entire empty school for the slow kids to our selves. We hit up every single room untill they finally tore it down.

yeah i think u just got confused with the whole sewers thing(thats just not smart) but finding cool tunnels and service areas under your city is fucking great. we have this dope spot that was a large arena that got blown up for a movie(not tellin where) u just gotta use ur head watch for wierd manholes or doors that wouldnt seem like they go anywhere and explore were not gonna go find the shit for you. and if we did we would just keep it to ourselves. dont post secret spots on open forums. thats a shure fire way to bring the heat on a spot. abandonned buildings arent that hard to spot. but u should def. bring supplies i.e. flash lights bolt cutters, water, paint (off course) so to recap

I was thinking if you lived next to any drainage creeks or canals, you could get alot of work done there. There bound to go under a surface street of some sort and there is huge amounts of wall space down there. It&#39;s so far down, it&#39;s a chill spot even during the day and totally hidden. But i was also wondering how you get into underground sewers and things like that. There would be soo much space down there. And some canals are&#39;nt really dangerous cause there dried up and harmless.

this isn&#39;t underground really, but it&#39;s lower than normal. it&#39;s also not a sewer, but theres sort of sewage. There are channels around my city, which are awesome for graffiti because they&#39;re long and big, also nobody bothers you so you can go during daylight and take your time. They do have some nasty stuff there though, like the ones by my house have a like a stream in a smaller channel witing the channel of nasty water, not really sewage its wide enough to be annoying to jump over, and a little hard, but not super, they also sometimes have leaking metal pipe things. A friend showed me these channels that were within biking distance from my house, so they&#39;re really nice. I&#39;d like to be able to find a map of that sort of thing too.

theres a tunnel near my house that goes under the interstate highway that is about fifty yards long its louder than shit so you don't have to worry about people hearing you and its pretty bright but no one can see you unless they go to the opening of the tunnel theres three of them connected together i love those tunnels so much wall space and freedom

me and my friendd have done it in like 3 different sewersss. its pretty creepy but a cool place to have ur tag.

if theres barss, its easiest to go to the second lowest row and slide through it on your bacck.

btw for escartmenntss, sometimes you have to get off the trail and walk up a streaam to get to oneee.

just look around for water ducts, drainage ditches, w.e you want to call them. the big cement paths that fill up when a storm hit. as long as youve had a week or so of no rain, just walk down it. eventually youll find the parts that go under the roads etc, as well as a few dead bodies, needles, and what ever else gets hucked in there. water run off sewers are fine. i doubt you could even get to the sewage tunnels, unless your city just has shit and piss flowing around in the open?:S
