Prismas and Deco's. I get my shit at micheals. Bought the primsa's (48 pack was half off so it was cheaper than the 24 pack). And I rack the Deco's because it's too easy. In the back of the store where no one is and individual markers? c'mon...
My black book has fairly thick pages so it doesn't bleed. Prisma's are fucking amazing, minus the price.

iv never sketched much with markers unless one liners.. i tried last year few sharpies what i got from my bro who arrived from sweden.. they are decent.. i dont know about leaking stuff cause it depends on paper too.but if id have chance to try them all it would give more quality for my sketches instead of cheap ass filt pens..

i use painters and decos. Cuz you also have to know how to use them not just right with them. Cuz if you dont know how to use them then they come out or the piece comes out not so good.

For writers here the decos are in the front behind a cage behind the register. the decos are in the front too, however I have racked some of those. But they're fucking retarded considering that they put the metallic decos, prisma brush packs(the one from the grave has ten of) in the back. the Gelly rolls are nice liners too, especially the ones that have a weird symbol on the cap, those are more like paint. so while they have the decos and the paint locked up, we can still rack the other shit that can make much more damage. A staz on mop with thinned yellow green oil paint can cause much damage than a broad tip deco. Still, you're all lucky for having the decos in the back. When I want to do a canvas I have to buy them.

Same here, the decos are put behind the registers along with the Zig and Garden Craft shit, although not locked up. Its a little tricky to rack them but I managed to grab a few..dope enough. Ive been looking for the most vibrant yellow and between prismas and decos, decos win.

ones i have used so far and crits:
copic ciao- very smooth to use, not overly wet, brush tip can be a bit of a pain for fine work, blending is achieved with minimal effort
letraset pro-slightly dry compared to the copics but the fine tip is easier to use than the brush of the copics, dense color sometimes a bit rought to blend
touch twins- way wetter ink than the copics, almost to where its a problem when you first use them, blending is easy because of the wetness, good color coverage fine tip just as good as the letraset pro's
all in all i still say copics are my fav, touch twins would be second and letrasets 3rd but still not a bad marker

I use sharpies (thick) for outlineing, and thin-line sharpies for more detailed parts. But, if you are going for vibrant colors, i'd go with hilighters. There are tons of colors, and they dont really bleed out that much.

especially crayola markers. if you get an even coating then it looks slick man, nice bright colors. I'd still rather real graphic markers though lol

I use the Ironlak Strikers (20 Twin Markers Set) (http://www.bombingscience.com/catalog.htm?item=8681&ret=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bombingscience.com%2Fcatalog. htm%3Fpage%3D1%26category%3DSketching) and they are pretty cool but they leak threw but I would like to try out some of the Molotow 227HS sketching markers.
To help with leaking threw the paper I got a paper resume/envelope folder and I cut it in the bind and got the biggest side and traced my book so when I slide it behind the paper it would stick out a little bit so it was easy to get to. Also good for using as a bookmark.

I have always used prism's ever since i was introduced to them and sharpie fine point for out lines, as for for bleedin' on to other pages thats always been a major pet peev of mine so I always placed papper under the page i'm on on or a thin card board, as for price I bought a full set of prism's for $270.00 on art supplies web site just shop around it's worth it specially when you got a writers circle going on at your house. Peace - (>.0)y!

At first I used some really cheap "fibracolor" pens and then my GF got me the 60 pack of On The Run markers. The difference is HUGE!!! The OTR (On The Run) markers don't leave streaky marks if you color fairly quick unlike the "fibracolor's" which streak no matter what. So it was impossible to get a smooth look with the "fibracolor" pens.
A lot of my OTR markers are running out of ink though and I can't find OTR graphic markers for sale anywhere anymore in the US so I just ordered the Premier Prismacolor 48 pack. They should arrive on wednesday.
I see a lot of people complaining about the ink leaking through the paper? Why don't you just put some paper between the pages of your blackbook to "catch" the leaks? It's not that hard to do haha.

I use BIC markers. I found them cheap. 20 markers for 4 dollars. They rock. Also I use some college highliters, but they suck. I've never tried Ironlak, but I like it so much. Anyways i dont have money for expensive markers and cans... So I use just cheap. And for tagging I found for 1 dollar PILOT marker... It is awesome. Medium NIB, not as big as BURNER but it kills

Got the prismacolor premier pens and they are great. I'll compare them to On The Run graphic markers.
On The Run:
Pros
Doesn't dry as fast.
Easy to get a smooth/non-streaky fill.
Comes in a sick case.
Cons
Ink spreads/saturates a little bit of the paper close to where you just colored.
Can't find them for sale anywhere.
Prismacolor:
Pros
Ink spreads less than OTR.
Cons
Ink dries a little faster than OTR so you have to be faster to make sure you don't get streaky fills.
