I used want to be really into comics and wanted to do that but it seems like comics just are not as popular as they used to be, I am doing illustration for a card game like magic the gathering type, and I got a message from a friend this week who writes stories for some dude and she gets paid and they want to bring it to comic form and asked if I would go for that, I'm gonna give it a shot see what happens. I wish I could get paid to graff tho that would be the shit...

You should look into advertising design, they're always looking for new innovative shit to exploit. Way back like 7 years ago a buddy of mine's brother did some comic book style work for popsicles, no one had seen shit like it before, he made a lot off it....just start showing your shit around to companies, one of them is bound to offer you some sort of position with the skill set you've got.

Better yet, start building your own client base and make even more money that way...

pencilpusha, I got a tablet for christmas...so basically I draw/paint with the tablet on photoshop...nothing else to it, I chose my colors and/or black and white and just paint and paint and paint and paint...I use the color picker a lot (not from the photos but from what I've already painted) but other than that...that's it...just a regular brush w/ the opacity to 100%

after i got done with it i realized how much it looked like aoassis' stuff, I really didn't intend it to come out like that at all haha, i was just sitting on my bed freestyling characters and come up with a different style, i had no intention to bite anything, ao is the man.
