Alright so anyways, Im at Rock the Bells and Wu is in the middle of their tribute to ODB, so they have Old dirtys mom on stage and all that. Everyone in the crowds got a lighter in the air. Blunts are being sparked all over the fucking place, and Steve O comes on stage for some reason. Anyways, Steve O starts talkin bout ODB, even though theyve never even met. And then, Steve O says hes gonna pull a double dirty back flip in the memory of Old Dirty. So He walks up, pulls down his pants, and starts waving his cock around on stage. And then he tucks it in and pulls a backflip..... so everyone is just kinda quite for a couple minutes, and then someone from Wu's posse walks up and says like "Yo, what the fuck are you doing? Im about to kick your motherfuckin ass for that disprespectful shit." And then Steve O, obviously coked out, is like "oh, I apologize." And like all of Wu is just lookin at him like theyre gonna jump the motherfucker. Then they start the show back up, but like the whole crowd is fuckin pissed, and... I dunno. Its all I can really remember now from last night....

But Del actually played an AMAZING set. He played Clint Eastwood, If You Must, Catch a Bad One, At the Helm, Some tron shit. It was dope. Psycho Realm came on stage with Immortal. Lauren Hill was a suprise guest. Phife Dawg came out and did some Tribe classics with De La. Blacksheep came out. Ummmm.. Dilated played an awesome set. Just a crazy fuckin show.

not to menchion the people who support it is nothing more then the MAIN people who pump all the weight into the festival so not only are they making the money off the 200$ tickets there the ones who pump the drugs in there so they get the flow off that also.... ive watched SO many festival morph into that and i predict if they keep getting line ups like this year (rock the bells not bannaroo) that the same shit will happen planning with go down, prices will go up and it wont be about the love anymore

Whatever, Im not sayin that I LOVE Imm Technique or Murs. And whaddya mean NOW Aesop starts rappin about wierd shit. Back in the day he was flowin about carpentry and basic cable, how is that different from clothes and medicine? I will DEFINITELY admit that droppin Blockhead was a huge mistake. I think Aesop and Blockhead put out some of the illest shit around when they were collabin. But good music is good music. Okay a little recap on rock the bells today.

Zion I fucking rocked the place. they appeared pretty damn early too, but managed to bump louder then anyone else. Amp Live killed it, Zion was sooo good on stage. so much energy while workin with the crowd. duece and d.u.s.t. were with em and played so raw, i think their whole segment was the best there.

De La Soul actually stole the show, they brought in Phife and fucking ripped shit up. bumped a bunch of tribe that made me bob my head like crazy.

fucking immortal tho, everyone was so hyped up for him. he did like a fucking 2 minute accapella of his government spit. never dug his style tho

living legends was alright, they played most of their major hit songs. they even had grouch go out and then brought back zion i to play some tracks off their new album (releasing october 10, ill buy it no worries :)), and that fucking rocked.

del was pretty good, he played his most known songs, and even did that gorillaz song (which everyone started singing). he didnt seem as hyped up, but he kept promoting his new album 11th hour.

murs was on crack, mother fucker jumped so damn much. played his hustler songs, yeah your right gesus, he does think hes a thug.

we left after living legends because it wasnt gonna be much of underground anymore.

de la and zion i really did good today though, de la for bringing some tribe into the show and playing shit so hard, and zion i for flat out performing like they should; damn good.

im speaking off personal expericences when i saw mosdef on my boys birthday he showed up 2 hours later (in a limo) didnt appoligize, made racial slurs about all the white kids there, put NO ASS into his show, disrespected everyone, almost slapped a girl, had no love for his fans, there was a younger kid who waited outside the show till he got out for him to sign an autograph for he and he looks at the kids like he was stupid with his conyac (sp) in hand then got into his limo and drove off...

now thats fucking dick, first of you dont show up to shows 2 hours late when i heard his agent talking to the club owners saying no hes here he just doesnt wanna come on yet, then they had to send a limo out to get him, not only that but leave the fucking racial comments about your fans the fuck alone thats some faggot ass shit, the shit that killed me the wworse is that he wouldnt sign and autograhp for a lil who been waiting the whole show to get it.... fuck that noise

But listen Gesus, you cant take one of Aesops most famous songs and put it up against one of his crappier new ones. That isnt fair. Take Food, Clothes, Medicine. One of his newer defitinely more experimental songs and his lyrics are still on point. And so what? He made a new album that you werent feeling so now you say fuck him? That argument can be made for anyone. Take Wu. Did they do some experimental shit? Yes. Was it dope? Yes. Is anything they ever do gonna match up to 36 chamber? Not in my opinion. Doesnt mean I say fuck Wu Tang because their newer albums werent as good. If your gonna diss an artist because your not feeling him as much as more, than your not really a true fan.

However, I figured an emcee who has been on warped tour has plenty of money to live.


Also, I really feel me doing this opens the debate for a line deviding the eschelons of pirateable and not. Obviously there are artists who work 2 jobs just to put out their next lp and there are those who can support a whole block in the bronx with record sales alone, excluding the "big-name" factor applying to the latter, how can we be sure?

Stating clearly, (and I'm sure many cats will disagree) I don't believe in intellectual property.

i wasnt beefing man, im just saying yo thats the homieand belive me he aint got money, he lives at home with his momma dukes to try to save money, when he came to stay at our house after rocking a show they barely had gas money for the 8 hour drive to colorodo i think they made somthign like 60- 80$ for that show, they got dickedthen making about 10$ off each cd they solf and they sold a grip about 8 cds so thats 80$ now 80$ minus the price they have to pay to get the cds i dont know how good there shit is so i cant say how much they would have left over.... but then take that and split it upbetween 3 people for food isnt that much...

underground artists dont make shit unless your atmosphere, aesop rock, el p, mr lif, safe francis, ect......
