dude did u even listen to the album, and if so... did u ever listen to any portishead album before, its not that diffrent at all im actually diggin harder on this then fucking the S/T which i NEVER EVER fucking thought portishead would have a better album then that... but the end of the tracks are more out of touch but still if your listened to alot of there djs production you wouldnt think so, i remeber haivng aremix album that had a grip of his beats, and i think they jsut let him get more crative about it... rathere then just sampling an scratchign with light string work.. but over all aside from liek 5 tracks its stirhgt oldschool portishead, they sound more epic, i cant wait to see them like cas i can tell its goin to be amazing when i see them at coachella...

yeah it does have a bit more idm/experimetal type beats but they just started using more electonic this album... yes there are a few other songs like deep water that are diffrent, but ina beautiful way...

so i drove to her house cas she wasnt picking u her phone to find out she was in jail and i talked to her mom for about 2 hours to try to calm her down and tell her it gonn be alright, on my way back home i get a call from my homegirl janettex and shes like "big baby gesus what u doing daddy"
and i was like nuffin queen just chilling " and shes like "WHY THE FUCK ARENT U AT ULTRA?!" and i was like idk no tickets and shes liek FUCK that you got free tickets at will call just go there, so my day starts off wth not going to jail then goes to gettin a free artist ticket to the US's biggest rave

i get there and kill the drum an bass tent dancing my ass off seeing some SICK head btu AS ALWAYS Andy Motherfuckin C stole the show... so i damned my lil 2step the fuck out till i had t bounce over to Revenge of the Nerds who Otto Von Schratch and Edit got me into for free, so now im here at this show which is the self proclaimed ANTI-WMC party with fucking Heads like Otto Von Schractch, Edit, Phoenica, Doormouse (WHOS BREAKCORE KILLED IT), Skymall, Richard Deivne (those of you who kno who he is know whats up!), JOse El RAy, Optokenitc Relex, the Natorious Nastys djs, The Miami Bass Warrierss, The Voodoo Witch Doctor (whos my new homies) Arua, Jacque Polynice, Karakter, Mr feathers and more

this show was a experimental /Breakcore/Glitch crunk/Grimey/DARK Bootie bass wet dream

the show starts at midnight im shooting pool with strangers when i see Big Jesus who rocking a 3 peice orange suite looking fly as hell with a fucking orange skimask an he come stolling in while the djs mashing up some 80's freestyle to miami bass, then i see edit and everyone else come in, i meet up with the voodoowitch doctor and edit when i get in, meet some girlies (WOWWEEEEEE, usually i wouldnt say anythign bout the girls but anygirl who dances with me to grindcore is on my fucking sideeeeeeeeeeee yo) i love girls who like the same gutter as music as me drives me crazy... so i go to my car and eat some MDA then edit comes on, edit RIPS the fucking house down the whole clue is krunk as fuck after him doing remixes for and hours and just raw ass shit, then he brings fucking BT (yea superstar BT) on stage along with Richard Devine and this guy named blake somthin that was on american idol....

Yea, but I heard someone put it like this, "It takes time to find the samples and make it match and blend with the rest of the song" So I see sampling as an art. I think it's the worst when artist's aren't even creative with the samples. Like if they were to take a 10 sec long sample and just loop it with out changing the pitch or stretching it, or even chopping it.

Oh, and I've noticed Celph Titled samples A LOT. That still doesn't mean the beats aren't tight. I think he's got some of the sickest beats around.
One of my latest favorites of sampling is Main Sources "Just hangin' Out." After all the Skate (xbox360) I've been playing and hearing that Sister Nancy song, makes the beat 10x more tight.

I dunno if you actually know anything about music, but. You cannot copyright a rhythmetic pattern, you can get patents for melodies but rhythmetic patterns are up for jacking/raping to no end. Fucking many pop songs which are all dope use a lot of recycled chord progressions, see that new simple plan song and that oasis song, ish sounds the same if played acousticlyh with no voice but different melodies.

Im nowhere fuckin NEAR bein born in the sixties, just by listening to the way its used and the production with it etc etc. its obvious its sampled, theres no chance in hell celph or any of his boys have ever been able to produce a track singin like that...
