i like where youre going with the beat but i think the synth noises are a bit off in the timing. its hard to tell if youre going for a 4/4 beat or what.. but i do like the direction. maybe even instead of straight stopping the synth just drop it back down and back up more like a wave than from just down to up. nice work though.

do you like the way it sounds better like this or with the stops? i dont know if you changed the timing at all on them but it sounds better to me. also you could try bringing up the levels on the bass drops you throw in there right when you go from the short synths to the longer synths.. see what you think about that. sounds good though.

yer i changed the bass so its a bit higher also with the synth when it only played twice every bar it was to loud cos it fades in. So i changed the overall volume of that and then faded em out they sorta seem the same but they are faded out not just stopping. I do actuali like it more. monkey, I like it, but i think you have the kick drum pattern to short. Make it equal to the synthes or whatever so you dont have the drum repeating off beat with the synth. (to make the drum pattern longer drag the little lcd thing in the upper left corner of the step sequecer up, equal the the # of beats in the synth loop)

they went to a record store in north miami beach, and I got chill with them a bit..

I met Aesop Rock, El-P, Mr. Lif and Cage...
shit was so dope...

Mr. Lif was a real cool dude..we had a good talk...
and Aesop was real good people too...got to talk to him a bit...

Cage was quiet..
but He signed an album cover for me and I got a picture in with him...
didn't really talk to him much... or.. at all...
but it was just fresh as fuck seeing him...

After that, we left to go to their concert...
It was really dope...

The first dude on stage was this guy called Second Hand Outfit...
He had some really dope shit... I was feeling it a lot...
he did like an 8 minute set and went on his merry way..

next, came the Vagabonds, which are a group consisting of Wreckonize (from the mtv rap battles) and some other guy who's name isn't comming to me right now...
they rocked the stage for a while and ripped it... they were real dope... they had real good presence and chemistry... feeding off eachother and shit... it was dope...

After them, came Seven Star..
He did real well... had some dope shit.. preformed some songs I've heard before... all in all not bad... but he went on for way too long... he did like 7-8 full songs... it was getting real annoying, especially since I knew Def Jux was coming right after him, and by this point we'd all been standing for 6 hours..

The first person to come out from Def Jux was Cage..
and fuckin' ripped it... He preformed Agent Orange, Shoot Frank, Suicidal Failure, Teenage Death, Back Against the Wall, Dead, and some other songs I don't remember...
He was real hype and he stage dived like 4-5 times, even in the middle of verses, in which case his hypeman had take over for a bit till he got back on stage... but a great performance...

then they had two audience members come on stage and battle for a skateboard... needless to say, neither of them won it... they were horrible...

After that Aesop Rock and Mr. Lif came on stage...
Aesop preformed Coma, Frijoles (same beat, different lyrics) and a few other songs...

Then we had to go half way into Aesop's performance, just when he had started 11-35 with Lif, cause my boy had to be home by 2...

But, even then, the day was an absolute fucking success...
Greatest thing I've ever witnessed... by far...
