hey guys i spend around 30-40 $aus on each peice i do i use ironlaks so yeh they cost abit just wondered ruffly how much you guys spend on peices/ writing in general.

i have checked out the graffiti store and it is a little pricey to get it shipped out to aus so i gotta go with what is in the local distributor.

i go export fills and ironlak outlines,so most of the time il rock out a 10$ piece with a dreggy for the keyline,ive used up to 50$ but i like to keep the cheap stuff for fills

i get free primer so thats a freebie, i get REAL montana (barcelone) for 6$ a can
lets say like 35$ a piece + my gas to get there so about 40$ 50$ a piece

it obviously depends on the paint... I've painted pieces with strictly 1$ paint and they cost me shit... a decent piece...I'd say about 10 dolla... but this piece i did a year and 1/2 ago for example cost me aobut....2-4 dollars...its 80% 1$ walmart paint..except for a few greens/blues on the char.

Word to that. There is nothing I like better than Krylon though, bomber's best and Sabotaz included. I think if you write, you can still be a moral person, and not support the megalomania of Dupli-color.

Depends, I can spend upto $100AUD if I buy paint or I just rack, or if I'm doing a piece on the cheap I spend about $9 on exports and $7 on a can of Dulux flat black for my outline. Also racking Plasti's, Killrust, Krylon Original Chrome, Dulux Quit Rust, Wattyl All good.

some things i rack, not paint usualy. i spend about 50 or 70$ on montana every couple weekends depending... i have a good job and a low cost of living so buying my paint is nothing really..the stores here usualy have bad stock anyways

HOLY FUCK you guys have it good, in new zealand ironlak is 10 bucks and a bag of 10 caps is like 5 bucks, where im from in dunedin, you cant get any american paint, you can get belton, which is 14.50 and the 600 ml cans are like 20 bucks. I work for 9.50 an hour minimum wage at 13-16 hours a week at a fucking supermarket. i spend every cent on paint and food.
bombing i use 3 cans and a mix bag of caps is 35bucks.
so a peice is like 4-8 cans and anywhere between 45 and 95 bucks!!!

Its really easy to steal paint where I'm from. Canadian tire has nothing for security. I buy caps in bulk baggies and thats my only expense, so maybe 2 dollars or so for a night, and usually I can just use those caps again and again until a can explodes or something. I bought 2 cans of montana just to try it out, I don't really like it because a)its expensive b)the big bags of ny caps I have don't fit on them and c)its the same a rust paint except different colours. Overall I think I've maybe spent about 50 dollars on graff, I haven't done much but I got a lot of stuff. If you can afford the amount of paint I go through in a sesh at 7+ dollars a can then I'm jealous cuz i'm just hood rich compared to you.

yeah its true, but fuck the people who say krylon is the worst paint there is...an ultra flat black can will get you some of the sickest flairs ever, its mostly the brighter colors that are like food coloring. For straight up bombs white and black krylons are better than just fine, especially when you get em for free. Yes rusto is better though....

Tons of ways to rack paint, it might take a while to get a decent amount but it's free. There's the pringles can way, in fact I can get like 10 cans a day if I go to 5-6 different stores.. (it aint hard, I got an art store, A walmart, Home depot, Dollar store, Canadian tire and then the bus brings me to another entire shoping center with a zellers, another walmart, reno depot, 2 paint stores, a dollarama, another canadian tire, and many more which I dont even know about yet.)
do the math. Lets say you and afriend have a can of pringles each (not suspicious at all) and you got 2 wal marts, zellers, 2 paint stores, dollarama,
shitty fake dollar store, 2 canadian tires, home depot, reno depot, art store which means you can hit up 11 stores, which earns you 22 cans.
Takes about 2 hours. it's all free.
do it once every 2-3 days, and in a week you'll make 50 or so cans.
Gotta be smart about shit.
edit: I dont mean everyone has those stores near them, but those are the stores near me. they're near my school. Just do a bit of exploring in fact if you take almost any bus line it should bring you eventually to some sort of shopping center there usually is wal-mart or something like that near there. It's not hard. All you need is a pringles can and a buddy to watch your back and to help.. it's better if your buddy dusn't write that way they might be willin gto give you the paint.. my buddy just quit so he gave me all his paint and he's gonna help me rack some more.

Yea, Cans are easy to rack but people were asking questions like 'how do you rack that much paint I can't rack any paint it's sooo damn hard', I was giving pointers on easy and, if you asked me it's efficient enough. if you need more than 50 cans of paint a week, then you must use ALOT of paint. I try to push 1 throwie a day + 25+ tags and it's getting hard for because I go in broad daylight. I manage though. I consume alot less paint, so I really dont need to rack 50 cans a day, I'm sticking with my method. it's really hard to notice too, like, it's so easy, which is why I love it.

yea good idea, you can probably do a combination of my technique and your technique.
Problem is, There are practically no self scan or self serve machines like that here in Montreal.
you could buy pringles at the uscan, eat them up while 'Shopping' and drop a couple cans in there.
A good technique that I used to do along time ago is really long but it's somewhat worth it if you want something harder then paint.
Just walk into a store, and walk around the store for 40+ minutes. The cameras that watch you will eventually get bored of watching you after 30 minutes of you walking around aimlessly in the store and just ignore you.... you still gotta be a bit slick, but it's good.

hanging around is a bad idea. I recieved extensive training at my last job to look out for shoplifters. If your just hanging out and you just walk around aimlessley, you will probably be noticed. Best to get in and out in the shortest time possible. especially, never hang around one area, if your gonna do that.
