im 15 years old and getting paint is a huge struggle for me..i have an older friend who is 18 but he hasent got an id yet.. ive asked older strangers and somtimes it works but its embarassing and lame becase...when i can find a 18 year old of a friend of mine they want like 5 bucks some time and just getting the money is hard for me what do all your guys do that are old enough to buy paint...also were do you stash that shit from your parents..

well this isn&#39;t actually factual, I haven&#39;t checked the laws, but as far as I know theres no statute about being 18 to buy paint in New Hampshire. The only place that IDs is kMart and that&#39;s just a store policy. I&#39;d suggest either racking (if you&#39;re down), or finding someone that isn&#39;t a dick and wont charge you extra to get cans...

in my opinion... krylon is some of the shittiest paint ever. That glossy bullshit makes your work look like trash. Rusto is good, i dig that shit 100%.

today me and my friend (he doesnt do graffiti, but he understands sort of since he&#39;s a writer and musician) we had shitloads of free perids because of all the absent teachers. Since the school is right near a bunch of stores we walked down there and ate and hung out and shit. First we went to the art store since there are these chill old lady artist so maybe they&#39;d be cool with it and not give me a hard time. They didn&#39;t have any paint so we went to the hardware store next. We walked in talking about this lame school project we had to do and we were sounding really clean cut blsh blah whatever. We walk to the back of the store which had a wall of cans, krylon, rustoleum, and some other stuff that wasn&#39;t clearly marked. Anyway the guy&#39;s like "Are you eighteen?". Lieing would be useless since i don&#39;t look like im 18 at all and lieing would have made him suspicious. I was abut to make some dumb excuse like i was using it for a project but he&#39;s like, "no spray paint if you&#39;re under eighteen, New York State law buddy". We left but i was so fuckin pissed not only cause i couldnt buy it but he followed me like i was going to steal it when i actually wasnt going to, maybe i should&#39;ve looked arund other shit and then stole it when they werent looking but they can see the rack from the front desk ad there were 6 guys up there. When my sis comes home from college she&#39;ll be able to buy me some or i could just grab a train to the city and buy some shit there where the people are cool. or home depot is an option but it&#39;s kinda far away (i once racked some garden markers there while shopping with my mom, easy shit)

Anyone in nyc know places where people wont hassle me and give me shit about not being eighteen (or an easy place to rack from)?

Here in CANADA. We buy beer at 18 and we buy paint at 7. why the fuck would they ID for paint? If youre too much of a pussy to rack, drop some cash on the counter and bounce with the paint. At worst theyll call security and youll have a nice little chase. Im 15. I get my paint no problem. I&#39;ve gotten paint from craft stores but i would fuck around in this particular hardware store, it&#39;s like 8 200 pound italian guys who would fuck you up if you tried anything. Big places with stupid employees like home depot or staples is a different story, there it&#39;s like they dont care if anything gets stolen.

And speaking of the moving to canada, if bush institutes a draft im moving up there since we already have a house (although it&#39;s on an island in the middle of a giant lake) but we&#39;d move into a a better place in a large city soon after. Call me a pussy for dodging the draft but i dont wanna fight a war i dont believe in. in fact im against war completely.

getting paint for me is so easy and im only 13 and i get it by myself without any help or any of that. i live in ohio. but anyways for all of you go into like meijer and get the paint, and then go to the self-checkout line and they usually wont say anything. but if they do, just say school project, skateboard, room, etc. I just got 6 cans yesterday no prob. hit a meijer truck on the way out :D
