i just assumed you use photoshop. if you do, find level's. i know for my version (elements 4.0) it's under enhance>adjust lighting>levels (hotkey ctrl+L) if you're not using phtoshop to edit get on that shit.

theres a big difference between taking flicks for fun and taking pictures for clients and for jobs. when your doing it for you, you might want kids opinions on bombingscience. When your dealing with clients, peoples opinions on a graffiti forum aren't that important. I'm sure the dudes been busy.

snoots too long brotha man, get a pop can, cut the top and bottom off, slip it over the flash..insides silver so it reflects well but you should put a plastic bag over it to diffuse it a bit, use a rubber band or hot glue to keep the bag down, then cut off the extra baggage and bam

you can also cut a pringles can to your desired length

Day One
Met up with zero (my mate tom) the night before, crashed at his house with Witek (A guy from canada, his name is actually pronouced Vee-tec :D its a polish name) and woke up in the morning to catch the 2.15 ferry from Dover. Got on the ferry, well the one after but we got on a ferry and off we went. A quick pint and what not and we were in Calais. We drove straight to Brussels to meet Marc (a guy from paris, a few people might know him from here). Where we arrived a bit early, but didnt have time to stop and explore anything. So we got a spot of food.

We then went to meet a guy marc at the Midi station, then went straight to meet a guy called Sylvain, at his house. We had a beer or two, and a chat, then we headed out with Sylv to go look at a few places. The first one being an old building next to the Midi station where we had just picked marc up from. Was a tad boring inside, really stripped, but the rooftop gave some good views.

We then headed to the basement where it got interesting. There was a pool of water about 2-3 inches deep. We were all getting wet feet. Well I wasnt as sylv decided to carry me over which was great. So comically zero, witek and marc decided to get crates and use them as big boats for their feet. I will have to dig around for the photo as I have it somewhere. Anyway they just reached the fry bit to exit, and workers were zooming down the tunnel on a forklift. So we all had to jump straight back in the water. And yep we all got wet feet, we had gone through so much effort of staying dry, yet the first instance of security/workers and we were straight in that water.

Anyway we exited, went for another beer at an all night bar/pub. Then we went to the horror labs which was just opposite. We had a quick mooch and dropped Sylv back home. We had a quick nap in the car before setting out the follwing morning.

Day Two

We first went to a Prison which was only a few miles away from where we were. So we headed there. It seemed to be half converted but was still a great explore. It was stipped but a few things, but it was just a nice easy as explore. No security again. They are crazy in belgium.

We had been told that the War Museum In Brussels was do-able due to scaffolding. So that night we headed there for a bit of a climb. It was made worse by the rooftops being covered in ice and snow. And it must of been in minus numbers. We were all absolutley freezing cold and probably would of quite happily given up half way through exploring it.

Day 3

We then headed off to visit a power station which Sylv had said is a MUST. It was mint inside. Hardly any decay, as if it was still in use. There didnt seem to be any security on site, but there was recent footprints of people and dogs in the snow. Anyway we got in had a mooch around for a while and headed off.

We then had to say bye to marc at this point as he had to travel back to paris for work on the monday.

We didnt want to waste the evening doing sod all. So we decided to check out the Sewer system in brussels. Which well was a tad boring. There wasnt much to it but some long tunnels, that go on forever, with hardly any features. I only took one photo, as to be fair, they were dissapointing.

Day 4

This was a bit of a wasted day. We drove around to a few sites, and they were all just shit, not there, or not doable at the time. We visited a cokerie, which well...wasnt where the co-ordinates said it was. So we had to sack that off. We then headed to a blast furnace, which half of the site was live, and half of it was abandoned. We took a look and there didnt seem to be an easy way in. 8ft chain fences, with razor wire at the top was the easiest way in. The rest of the site was covered in a 10ft wall, or it meant entering through a live site, which we werent really prepared to do in a foreign country.

We then headed off to another blast furnace which we had been told had closed. It was absolutley huge by first glances. And it also looked as if it was still in use. There was people working all around it and we werent to sure what the state of this plant was. We had arrived late so we did a small part of it just across the river. Then we decided we would head back at night and climb the headstock if the plant was lit up.

This small section was about a 1/10th of the rest of the site. It was massive. But anyway we returned an hour later when it was pitch black, and it wasnt lit up in any way, or form. So we sacked it off. Only due to the weather being shite, it was still snowing, and there wasnt even any light from the moon.

Day 5

We headed over to the Stella Brewery. Me and zero passed this last time we drove through by accident last time and never bothered to explore it. Only due to their being about 5 buildings, and you have no idea which one is not in use. We knew exactly what building to head for, and we got in with out any snags. This was a great site, the main room with the random copper, brass, thingy majigs is amazing.

This was also the first day which the sun hard started to break through, and the snowing had stopped. So tonight was the night we would do Palais Du Justice again in brussels. This is still one of the best high things to do, and once again its easy as.

Day 6

This was the final day, and we dcided to check out 2 power stations as they were on the way back to calais and we had till 10pm to kill for the ferry.
We went to the first one which as being demolished as we turned up. There was workers everywhere, they were tearing the roof down etc. So well it was impossible to do.
So we headed to the second power station. Which was situated in between 2 live sites. So well it was a bit off putting, espeically to run the risk of getting caught the morning before you are supposed to be going back home. But anyway, un-deterred we headed in which was a piece of piss again. This power station was completley different to the first one we had done. It was a lot more decayed and must of been closed years and years ago. We just did the main turbine halls and left the rest due to workers being all over the site. We didnt feel like getting spotted.

yes, bands eat up that look
and as long as hdr isnt gaudi then it looks raw as fuck for bands because theres alot of details everywhere that cant be as easily visable with a normal photo

and none of those venues were close to being empty, the pit gets damn violent and noone wants to stand by the pit because they dont wanna get hit, thats also the reason why im a succesfull band photographer because im not afraid to get close to the action, other pussy's will stand far away in one spot with a zoom lens and try to capture the show, which is lame

it wont work with a shoe box and a pin hole wont work with color polaroid film it wouldent work with polaroid film all together. im not reposting how to make a pin hole camera again. you can do the search for the post i did pages back.

my suggestion. find a polaroid camera that fits ur film or ship it to me and ill use it.

Empty Can - Just go out and get a begginer dslr, Either way if its your first dslr your not gonna use EVERY single
feature of the camera, also diffrent cameras are better for diffrent people, It also depends on what your gonna be shooting.
Just buy a used nikon d-40,60,70, what ever you can find for a good price and get used to shooting manual, after a couple
month youll find out what you like and dont like. Also use google, go to camera shops and ask questions.
I bought a d70S 2 month ago and ive had so much fun with it everyday I dont think ill go back to point and shoot ever again.

pentax mx....17mm tokina, think it went down to like f3....which it most prob was set on...and using cheap ass 200iso film...thats a scan of the print...was stuck inside one of my art books years back for school...that was shot like 4-5 years ago now...what that wierd shit on the left is :P

seems like a smartass question to me, i guess if that was to happen i would use 1 flash or command stick the lights to the amp heads

naw man I was totally serious, I'm affiliated with a venua and we wouldn't let people put lights on stage, and alot of bigger places don't allow flash at all. (I've seen pros get kicked out of bars a few times for using flashes)

but if you mean like camera and flash settings i always have my camera at f2.8 and 1/60...my flashes on stage are set at about half power and then the flash in hand is set relatively low because i dont like to blind the band members, but i also need a good key light

how do you actually make the different exposures?

i make the 3 different exposures through adobe cs4 with the camera raw plugin, after i get the 3 exposures, i save them in a group file, then i bring them through photomatix and then save that image, bring it back into cs4 and then do a high pass filter on it, around 7.6 pixels, just to bring out the pic a bit more and give it some edgeyness, on some of my pics ill use synthetic lens flair, some pics look great with large light oras and some dont

i actually use adobe elements 4.0 when i have alot of pics to mannage because its easier to view and control the photos, i hate the way the photo bank in cs4 is

Generally speaking, new zealanders (and alot of other civilized countries) care about their environment and don't fuck everything up with industrial waste and tons of garbage like us americans.

I know this doesn't apply to those photos, but one of the things I hate the most about living close to philly is all the fucking light pollution. Back in the day when I was in saint croix, when the sun went down you could see every star in the sky, up here all you see is yellow light.

I hate it so much.

It surprised me to learn that skiing is Flagstaff’s top winter tourist attractions. No one would think that skiers would come from such states as California, New Mexico, or Texas to ski in Arizona. I would have thought it was too warm in Arizona for a winter sport.

My parents and I plan to go to the Grand Canyon this coming summer; I told them that Flagstaff was the gateway to the Canyon. They indicated to me that my grandparents had taken a train to Flagstaff and then, taken a bus to the Canyon. I hope I can do something similar.

Yeah that is a vinyl i'm painting.
I keep getting orbs on some of the shots im taking, i thought it was maybe cuz then lense was dirty, but it only happens on certain shots.

what "orbs" are you talking about?

i think all your photos are too contrasty, it begins to get distorted as soon as you push those contrast levels up, lay off of it and youll be that much closer to getting some doper pics, the 1st tunnel pic would be dope, but i think it has a stupid focal point, you can tell that tunnel had mad potential but you focused on a sign thats not anything out of the ordinary
