Sorry if this existed, or isn't interesting....
We hear a lot about people. At one point, someone did something that affects you or changes the way you see life. Name that person here.
Jean-Paul Sarte... for his research on how the mind interacts to other minds and their compatibilities. We'd be lost if this guy never existed.
Immortal Technique... The master. No bullshit, the straight truth every time.. metaphors that make you think and one of the best flows i've heard to date.
Clifford E. Burton... Metallica's first bassist, died in a bus crash... unreplacable in my opinion... some of the best songs and albums were made when Cliff was in the band.
Dimebag Darrel... no explanation required
that's all i've got off the top of my head right now
Haha its not. I found it on my computer, it was too good to pass up.

i like to to give credit to my mother
she has been sober for over a year and half now, she is alcohol and drug free.
sadly until recently i had never met my mother sober, because her adiction took over half her life (over 30 years lost to boozin and drugs).
so to all those that have beaten the decease of adiction and to those that have survived through the struggles (and their love ones) i congratulate them and look up to their accomplisments
ima have to say first off to my carnal Jose (RIP) who got me into this hip hop shit back in the day. Due to some bad gang influences and shit his life was cut short with a bullet to the brain at age 18. Also KRS one is one of my main influences, also Immortal Technique, and a lot of the oldschool writers, especially PJAY. Also everyone else thats in the struggle...

immortal technique are the best :)
Im gonna pretend i didn't see that.
Mordecai Richter... A jewish author, for his book The apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, about a jewish boy growing up in Montreal in the 50's.
Jean LeCarré.. For his books on the Cold war in Germany. Introspection, in-depth dialogue and the ability to recreate settings with words... a inspiring author.
Michael Moore... forget the Anti-bush flavor... his books and movies made people react. That's whats important.
Jean Leloup.. without a doubt my favorite songwriter. Les fourmis and Le dome will always be in my CD collection.

Im gonna pretend i didn't see that.
 word, i dont wanna add my 2cents bout that one
i say yes to everything cause im cool
humans that i respect no doubt
1- my grandmother (Annie Park) she passed away sept/11/03, she was 86, in her 86yrs of life she NEVER smoked a cigarette, sipped a drop of beer....and she made my brother and i learn from our mistakes, and not protect us, learn from what you did, thats the real way you'll learn!
when she passed away i wrote a poem about her, till this day nobody in my family wants to read it cause its just to hard, i would like to share the poem with you guys/girls!
1st poem i wrote at the hospital when i learned she had passed on
Felt like yesterday you were here next to me,
Then i woke up and faced reality,
Even though you've passed the memories will always last,
Cause your presents made them stick,
I ll miss you but i gotta carry on,
This isnt being mean, this is just being strong,
I think bout you every night n day,
Asking the lord why did he choose that day,
Sept 11th i lost my nana and a friend,
But i know you'll be with me to the end,
When i got that call, early morning around 1h10
I knew the road for you is close to the end,
Got off the elevator, the nurse walked towards mom
That's when i knew, that something was wrong
Staring at you, looking like an angel at rest
I know that your soul was at peace and that you've been blessed
4 grandchildren and 5 great ones
All the love n good times, came by the tons
86years of glory n love
Now you protect us, from up above!
R.I.P Nana
The second one i read at the service, less touching but more of a positive approach to the situation
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we onced shared
Miss me but let me go
For this is the journey we all must take
And each must go alone
Its all part of the Master's Plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go
R.I.P Anne 'Nana' MacRae Park
September 14 1916 - September 11 2003
damn, just readin it brings me to tears

OTHER peeps i respect
Immortal Technique (ASEN summed it up pretty much for me)
Eminem (The guy made the hip hop community drop their jaws and still is droppin hits that HE wrote, and he aint scared to say what he has to say... cause there's a puppet on his hand  )
Stanley Kubrick (the BEST film director, the guy rocks)
i have alot more but i cant name em all off the top of my head

I have to agree with Dame on Karl Marx, the theories gave me a radical view of leadership, although i don't really agree that his methods could be successful
weed changed my life, not a person but ever since i started smoking i feel more confident and stuff (plus its just fun)
my mom, she has always questioned authority when she didn't think something was right and i think that really rubbed off on me
my teachers in school, taught me a lot and made me more knowledgable (fuck, i definitely spelled that wrong)
all my friends and people i know who work with computers, they really opened the door to my hobbies involving electronics

You gotta explain this one to me. I wont even insult you or get electronically angry.
I just wanna know why you think it's lame to idolize rappers? Someone who portrays such a strong message as Immortal Technique or Talib Kweli does could easily be considered an idol. To some people, rap is their life. They strive on lyrics and beats, and you need to understand this. If your talking about all that overground shit like Chingy or Nelly then im totally hearing you.
You gotta broaden your mind a little.

Jeffrey Reodica.
this isnt the first time ive mentioned him.
the dude has influenced my humour.
he let me live with him when my back was up against the wall.
he provided me with money to get by, for the time i was living with him.
and even when we werent living together, he'd try to help me with any situation. he was the type of person who you see, and will know that you will have fun if you chill with him. too bad his life got cut short.
died at age 17. he just turned 17 too, not even 20 days after his birthday, he died.
got shot by undercover cops.........shit..... i just realized... exactly 8 months from today. shit man.

I'm not dreaming. To be dreaming of it would be me wishing for it to happen and it never coming true. So no, I ain't dreaming. I'm living it day to day. Making my life an example. Spreading the word. Educating. I'm not standing around shouting for change and doing nothing about it. So I pose this question to you: what have you done to make the world a better place today?** <_<
where are you from down south?
"But I like the inconveniences."
"We don't," said the Controller. "We prefer to do things comfortably."
"But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin."
"In fact," said Mustapha Mond, "you're claiming the right to be unhappy."
"All right then," said the Savage defiantly, "I'm claiming the right to be unhappy."
"Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right to have syphillis and cancer; the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind." There was a long silence.
"I claim them all," said the Savage at last.
Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. "You're welcome," he said. [/b][/quote]
"He who makes a beast of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man"
