well, the U seems sharper in spots then the other letters, look at CAPs stuff, I'm no expert, but the trick is finding a balance between maintaining the structure of the letter and adding style to it.

zane - i have to say thats the nicest looking piece ive seen you sketch, but like bink said, do something in the middle of the page... i used to, and still do a lot of the time, do all of the shit i drew at the bottom of the page and now i find it harder to sketch in the center... but keep using those letters, fatten up the center bar of your A, work on your Z, and work on your handstyle
