Shot, the first one would look decent if you just did a 1 color fill, even though your letter thickness is madddd off in a lot of places, and why do you have a curved center for your o when its a straight letter......
The second one, fuck man, your t looks like an R and your O is in the wrong place, way too much overlapping, your transitions need to be on every letter or no letters, your letters need to be the same size, letter thickness is still off a bit. Your 3d is off, and you look like you wanted to do a transition on the O and T but you fucked it up by putting a line through it. Either add a transition, or make the 3d go over the T.

Dude, Rype, your letter height has to be three times your line width, if not a little bit higher, for capital E's to work...

Seriously, write it like Rype, but have the r the capital r the same size as the other letters. It's a shit ton easier. Save the all caps one liners for another day when you can put them to better use.

P's and O's look the same lowercase or uppercase. The only letter that was definitely uppercase was the D...

since the e was lowercase I figured that was what he was going for...

UEKS- Your e and u are curvy, and your k and s are sharp. Pick one or the other haha. The line in the middle of the u needs to come down further, S and E need a little bit of work on the letter structure. Start with keyboard block letters, forreal, then tweak them and make sure your letter width, and letter style stay the same. Obviously your practicing, it'll get better.

Haha, v's with round bubble letters are tricky, don't sweat it. It's hard to get the bottom to look right.

Three steps to self-assessing your work (learned this in a college art class, that I soon dropped out of):
Look at it from your peripheral to assess aesthetics, basically just to see if it looks right subconciously, without paying attention to the details or individual pieces.

Then, i guess when it comes to graffiti, compare the letters to eachother as far as height, width, line thickness, 3d, etc.

To finish it off, look at each letter (or piece of your drawing) as an individual, cover the rest of it if you have to, and make sure it's what you want it to be, resembles the original keyboard style letter, and has the same style as how you want your piece to look.

Your letter spacing is way off in the top one. line width is off on the D and the middle of the E.... Don't put the one in your throwie, if your going to put it anywhere, put it in your tag, but personally, I'd say keep your tag the way it is.

make one with all your letters in the bottom style. Just work on the width of the B. Other than that, I like it.

Use your tag thats above the top one. I like it as well.

Bored- look at your E, see how all the other letters have a flush and flat left side, and the E is all messy on the left? Also, work on the other side of the E use a few curvy lines like the rest of your letters. Make your O and Ethe same size as the rest of your letters, they're a little bit bigger.

To check my letter width, I start with the end of my pen/pencil on one side of my letter, and grab it at the end of the first letter, then pick it up and check each letter is the same width.

For letter spacing, with a pencil, lightly draw the outline of the parts of the letters that are covered up, and make sure the space thats overlapped is pretty much the same each time. erase it if it's right, if not, leave it, and try again, looking to see where you can fix it in the one that now shows where your mistakes are. It gets easier the more you do it.

Now actually look at your picture see how there is just a whole mess and clutter? fix that, use bars to help get letter structure down, work on spacing letters apart so they arent so crunched up, lose all of those silly extenstions. 1.Too much space in the h, and you pinched it too much at the bend.
2. Line width... need I say more?
3. Your i needs work
4. The huge bottom part of your e doesn't look right.
5. Looks like you tried to do shadow on the h, but 3d everywhere else.
6. Straight lines to split curved letters doesn't look good, and they are too long anyways.
7. Letter size, your e is huge.

sbal-i like the green s ... make sure you have a nice full circle like that one. and the penciled b looks the best to me.

sbal uhm fix the top of ur s make it round instead of squared and fix the b completely lol

MASE- the squared stuff at the top is on the s and the b, so it balances is out and kinda works.

Sbal- the big holes in your b aren't working, just used a curved line where you have the holes, and then it'll match the S a little better style wise, and fix your letter thickness.

I like the green one because the slant of the sharp corner of the S and B are the same steepness, you know? Like they make the same angle, just mirrored. But just fix your s at the top, it's getting choked 0.o

& I know your trying to show the shadows of the raised points at the top of the right of each letter, but it shouldn't go as far left.

but, you have a flat top i, and a flat top h, and nothing like that on the right.

I'd say make them round and fix your holes.

Make sure the dot on your i is above the bottom part.

my thoughts would be take out those triangle fills ... and don't do a 1 liner unless all letters are connected I think that is what is throwing me off on this throwie. The g and s have potential but the e doesn't work that way I have tried it something like that myself and was told I shouldn't from crits. So try doing those letters with a new e and no "one liner thing" going on get simp throw down before trying one liner style

hey sbal i like your purple and green one. got some potential. i'd focus more on the a and the L. you got the right idea with the a just gotta fine tune. your SB is pretty sick though. on the other page i saw the one where you kinda curved the tops of your letters and i thought that looked pretty nifty.

Akwd, roll with that a, but your gonna want to do someting to the K to make it look less squished. The W seems too big, and the D seems to be falling off. See how there's that downward bend? You don't really want that.
The second one is more appropriate for the bombs/ pieces thread, but the K needs to be less hidden, and your letters could over all use more work.
