Seeing as designer vinyl and graff kind of apeal to the same crowd (Seen and Dalek to nama a few), I figgured the forum neede a Toy thread. First of all if you are into colecting toys speak up, and if you are list your colections and post pics of your DIY's and so on.

well to start it off I have the whole steryotypes be my friend series and all of army of death minus the secret one, I also have 2 DIY cre8tive peeples, I have the whole MAD*L series and I have an El Dunny Loco. seing as this is about all I spend money on besides skating I can aford the expensive toys but I have just gotten into colecting.

the boombox head guy is diff, its just this 12" gi-joe body with a boombox on the head it looks awsome, but i know what speakerhead guys you are talking about i wanna get some and hook those basterds up to my stereo..the cheapest dalek that i have seen is the one that i have..they came in a blind box so you didnt know wich one you were getting(i got him at kidrobot in new york when i went..im pretty sure i paid like 7-14 bucks for it). im about to sell my big ass kaws guy though cuz im sick of looking at him..so retarded i dont even know why i bought it..oh yeah now i remember, its so i can sell it for 200000000$ a year from now haha

ok well, to actually answer your question, i think some of the stuff is hot...
some of the toys and canvas&#39; and fashions are just too, how can i explain this.. "artsy-fartsy"
it&#39;s too not even graffiti or even urban-art any more, and sometimes the creators try to make sooo much money off of it saying that it&#39;s super-rare and underground, when they take like 3 cents to produce-- (pertaining to the toys and fashion)
if you think i&#39;m wrong just look the bombingscience store toy&#39;s. there&#39;s this one 3 inch key-chain for like &#036;112.00.

some of the clothes i really like though. i don&#39;t really think you need to actually rock graffiti clothes to prove that you do graffiti. that actually even defeats the purpose and gives you away. i remember one time in like 7th grade i bought this ecko shirt with a whole bunch of home-made mops on it, and actually wore it.

then i realized it was gay.

i think the reson its all over priced is cuz the writers dont really make much money from all there merchandise, and sense graffiti is still not mainstream, theres not alot of customers for the merchandise they make. but most the shirts that are made are pretty dope, but i wuldnt say that it gives u away. unless u go around talkin about yer name to every1. if u rock a graff shirt doesnt mean yer a writer. unless yer shirt says I WRITE. then thats fuckins stupid.

as for the art, its actually turning graffiti INTO an art.If u see a well put together peice on a canvas that really is a peice of art. i mean graff onn tha streets is definitly art in my opinion, but to non writers, they can accept it more that it is an art, in that form.

but if graffiti ever gets mainstream and sells out, i will b so fuckin pissed off. its sad tho cuz it seems like its about to sell out within the near or somewaht near future now too, theyres so many toy ass handstyles and bombs in my city, and all the other citys i travel to in tha US, fuckin PISSES me off.

toy collector over here too.... comics too. though i&#39;ve been slacking a lot lately. oh and i&#39;m a huge pack rat. doesn&#39;t help that my parents are too, but if it wasn&#39;t for them. i wouldn&#39;t have all my toys from when i was a wee boy. still got my joes, cops, masters of the universe, ghostbusters, star wars, go bots, wrestlers, transformers....

i was into collecting the star wars re releases about 10 years ago. wow, doesn&#39;t seem that long ago. i have a few mcfarlane toys in the boxes. but shit got too expensive. i wanted to get into the muppet toys, because they were very well done. but again. i need to spend my money where it is needed, on beer and travelling.

how do i go about making them? diys come in munnys, dunnys, whatever - if you&#39;re in the toy scene, you pretty much know.. but it&#39;s plastic all around, like the feel of a doll.. use paint, markers, whatever u want to write on em.. not like crayons n shit, haha, but you know, anything that u can basically write on plastic..

DIYS are basically the clean mold from the various companies, eg munny, dunny, trexi etc that you design and sell, most people dont really mold thier own, this one here^^ is a diy that riot did for a show..on some vinyl forums, like vinylabuse they do plan designs for making molds etc in 3d progs, the same way we sketch our pieces
