I am probably the funkiest white bass player you have ever talked to and I can also fuck up a pair of turntables properly, but the piano, as it has been famously described, is a fucking MONSTER. I have been playing / mixing for going on two decades, but when I get in front of a keyboard, I'm useless. Retarded, clumsy, and all that. Seeing somebody who can kill a piano always blows my mind. I would have hated it, but I wish I was one of those kids who was forced to take piano lessons, because it's the most versatile skill ever if you plan on being a musician in the long run.

Teaching is key too. It will not only solidify your own rudiments, but will bring up areas that you may need work in. Coolest thing is, you will pass your style onto other players. That doesn't suck.

Keep doing it man.
