are all these threads that are getting posted recently actually needed? im willing to bet this questions already been answered 100 times throughout the forum, and it most likely is already a thread.

why not just ask it in there? or the markers thread? or the toy questions thread?

and im feeling the need to point out all these dumbass threads not so much because of the stupidity of them, but more that mods need to take the time to make sure the thread is reasonable.

"Hi. My name is basicked and I'm a clueless douche. I feel that my simple question needs to take up an entire thread while there is already another thread about the same damn thing. I've got to go because my mom is driving me to Michaels so I can rack some markers!"

You're a dick.

etch and grog work well

I LOLD OUT LOUD!

Yeah like it was said above, use anything by sharpie, I recommend Pentel paint markers they wash off easier, I've only done 1 body tag and that was on an ex-girlfriend, I used those sharpie paint markers. It works nice, I would recommend decos more than anything for the nice colours they have.

I think it is somewhat ironic that the biggest douche bags in this forum that act like this is some sort of obvious question with 100 threads about it, didn't actually know the answer. Just use elmers painters, or woodcrafts because they are waterbased. Sharpie paints don't have xylene in them either I believe...but I would check the label to be sure. From now on just a suggestion, if a thread is posted make the best of it rather then whining for a page :]

To the people complaining how about actually providing this guy with a link or better yet an answer so people dont have to scroll through a thousand posts in some thread looking for it. As has been mentioned Sharpies has a Water based paint marker you could use that. I remember I bought a couple of them and made the mistake of thinking they were all water based there's also Oil ones that look identical. No clue if those are safe for skin or not but they looked good on the girls skin I drew on.

actually decos have xlylene in them which eats through plastic and stuff, its absorbed through breathing it, and it goes through skin too. its not like your going to burn/hurt your girlfriend with them but im pretty sure long time exposure is bad.. check out the topic on here about health and saftey, you can get nervous and kidney problems or something from sketching with paint markers over time..

but id try to use prismas, sharpies, or something

prismas take a few days to get off though..drew on my girl with ultramarine blue prisma, and it took a whileee to get off.

So most of those guys use paint markers? I seen some of them using paint brushes in some pics but what type of paint they use I have no clue? I can't find worth shit the type of colors these guys using at the store. Does anyone have any tips or tuts on how they blend on the skin?

i did a couple of body paintings

anything xylene based = big no (decos)
anything alchool based = not really good (prisma, touch, promarker, tria, sharpie)
anything oil based = not great and hard to wash off (sharpie paints)

anything water based = AWSEOME (sharpie POSTER paints, tempera paint)

tempera paint is the paint used by kids in kindergarden and all

if u cant get any apparently acrylic is ok...

Sharpies bleed, I think a non toxic paint marker would be best.
Elmer's would be good, as said above.
