does anybody know how to get canvases for cheap? or how to make them? =(
i went to Opus art the other day, and its like $200 for a meter long... im not gunna pay for that. and you cant rack em either..

oh ok i see where your going i guess thats why you were asking for it cheap because small ones are inexpensive, you can make them go to a art store, and ask if they have the materials to make them should reduce the price by half or less.
just build the frame with light wood like the stuff for doorpaneling. then like i said go to the art store and buy the canvas material.

THey don't have to be on a wood frame, you can get acrylic primed canvasses on stiff board for cheap.

yeah the board ones work pretty good if your not doing oils or acrilic paints. If its spray paint check thoes.
If it dosen't matter how heavy the canvas is just use wood. Go to a hardware store you can get a 8' by 11' sheet of plywood for around $15-18 American. Or go to a construction site when no ones around and grab left over plywood from the dumpster.

Yea, i get mine from Joaan Fabrics in Plymouth or Ocean State Job Lot.
use canvas board, much cheaper than canvases

go to any art store/craft store by you and buy the big canvas roll and a stretcher bar you'll need that then just build your from out of wood whatever sized and roll your canvas on to it ive got a HUGE ass canvas roll, i love it.

k if yur gunna use a canvas, use a smaller one, and if you want a BIG one then fuckin use a wall....

if you want a big one for aerosol and not brushes. strectch out a white bedsheet, i've seen it work out pretty nice sometimes, but make sure it's tight.

i get my canvas by walking into michaels with a back pack and putting like 10 8 1/2 X 11 pieces of canvas board in my back pack then walk out

wow titan ur fuckign dumb, if sumone wants to do a canvas let them? why say sum dumb shit like "use a wall as a canvas!" ever tryd givin sumone a wall for a present?
joan fabrics has huge canvases for cheep, the one by me has sum 55 inchs wide and tall for like 85 bux, and the good thign they are always haveing sales on them!

you can buy like these canvas type material boards for about half the price of a proper canvas, and their big.
also cheap shops are really good
never buy canvases from an art shop
