Hey peoples, new to the threads (some people might've seen me on bboy.org but whatever)

I've been blackbookin for a while n finally decided to go out and hit up the streets... problem is, I can barely ever make it late... the place I wanna tag though is like an alley-way thing where all the people in my area paint, and i thought it'd be sick if i went out n did some handstyles over there. Sounds stupid, i know, but it's what i think i should do...

Suggestions, tips? And if u think its lame then w/e

i did a simple handstyle with black paint on the side of a brick wall n this guy seen me n started running out of his house so i ran through the park, through the alley, hopped a fence, ran down the street to my house, got to my house, fell and sprained my ankle...hahaha...the guy didnt catch me. too fast for ya&#39;ll. lol

Annnnyway, just stay calm, cool, collected & confident and you should be fine. Make sure that you keep watch all around you before and during the act (helps if you have a lookout). Dont mind the people that say most people dont care; whether or not its true that they care or not doesnt matter, you shouldnt risk getting caught. If anyone sees you, run. The best advice by far is to just go out and do it...

here are the tips that never fail me
ALWAYS have a friend looking out in any ways people could come by an see.
dont bring too much stuff. (try to keep it under 4 cans) because if you hear someone coming your gonna need to grab your shit and run.
and last, always have an escape route. well that goes for night bombing too but...oh well hope that helped

me and two of my frends ride bikes down this trail and people walk on it and ride their bikes too cuz thats what its for but theres a couple of bombs on the trail and its a cement urban trail and we tag the electric towers even though theyve already been hit by others. one guy "sekto" used a mop with super thick red bucket paint.
he climbed up the tower 15 ft to get hit it and he did that like on all of em.
but me and my frends just tell each other if someone is coming works great.

i should try going day bombin sometime.get some can silencers. ;) i can see it now.

well, you just need to practice riding your bike..
infact, use one training wheel instead of two.. this will help you get your balance skills up. if you have the training wheel on the left side just lean to the left. this will give you practice on keeping steady when rolling at high speeds.. also keep a marker in both of your hands and practice getting on and off the bike with the markers in hand too..
make sure you wear a helmet if your a beginner..

walking is your best bet, if heat comes around, you dont have to worry about getting into your car, or getting back on your bike, you just run, especially if you have to hop a fence to evade them.


i usually carry some slaps and a marker or 2 with me when i go for walks, never know when your gonna see a van or truck parked somewhere.

usually i tag and slap during the day. haven&#39;t even dare tried to actually bomb during the day. there&#39;s never a time where streets are empty, that is if it&#39;s a place actually worth painting.

painting during the day is fun in chill spots and shit, like back back back alleys where nobody will see you. good way to practice can control, and even shitty hidden spots are still hits, other writers and people will see them eventually, just not as many as if its a heaven spot

abandoned buildings are fresh to paint during the day if you can find any that are like abandoned and easy to get inside. plus then you dont need a flashlight or anything and its less sketchy.

edit: at least im not a liar. i have never painted a heat spot or anywhere that is seen by the general public driving by during the day. wish i could say i had, but i dont make up stories to entertain internet toys into thinking im down

I just wanted to say, Ive painted during broad daylight several times and on avenues and hard places (cause of cops and traffic), not pieces mind you, but I have...

I of course did that in places like Guadalajara Mexico, Mexico City, Tijuana and shit. I have never tried that in the US where law enforcement is more efficient... (although I really should someday :P)

The key is to bring one or two people with you and be on the lookout for cops.

Anyone else usually doesnt matter, common folks usually dont give a fuck, or arent ready to throw down (unless its their property youre painting lol) for a tagger.

Although there are some good samaritans out there, you gotta watch out for those..

I know a guy who painted a state monument at 2:00 pm.

He planned it, said cause there was heavy traffic in that area during that time.

So definitely, day time bombing is possible, and easy enough once you get the hang of it.

Also depends what you want to do on the target wall... :/

Be fast, have one or two people to be on the lookout for cops and taxi cab drivers... (I dont trust cabbies anymore...)

Other than cops and people who run towards you in an aggressive manner, you can take your time painting shit during the day.

Of course if all else fails my best advice is be quick on those feet and run like a motherfucker. :P

And another thing, if someone calls the cops, it will be much harder to escape in broad daylight.

I&#39;ve bombed in daylight once. It was a rush but scary. It was at a public on a pavillion(almost a stage) they have there. I did most of the wall and whole time I was looking over my shoulders becuase I didnt have anyone with me. It was right before the sun was setting so there was still people walking their dogs and riding bikes. I hit that spot twice and probably wont do it again during the day. I was scoping the area before I actually started and saw 3 cop cars pass by the main road. I waited 20 minutes before I started. Next time ill bring somebady or just do it at night.

last time i went bombing in the day i was arrested and that was in a place that is invisible to everyone not looking over a fence and around a building but the sound and smell of weed was our big give away. So its best to keep it to painting and go to some hiphop shows to meet writers you have seen up there they will be able to tell you more than anyone here about the "chillness" of the spot and if you dont meet any watch the spot like a hawk to see if a writer goes there in the day and make sure that there is alot of new stuff because it might be a retired spot with camera&#39;s.

late afternoon would be a bad time to bomb, there would be way to many people out, morning is the best, people are at work, or tired and going to work so they dont notice you

I find the best times to bomb are around 10:45-11:45. Although there are still people still out the majority of them are drunk/high etc. so they don&#39;t really give a fuck so you can be inconspicuous when walking the streets. In total I have been booked twice, and both times have been after midnight.

question 'ere! yea jus wonderin, i havent got past toy skill yet, but when someone paints a major piece and they set up with their paint, a boombox, and even a little backpack with some lunch, in vids i see of artists doin pieces they are calm and takin their time and not worried of making sound. i know that most of those writters arent ata legal wall, so is it justa matter of finding a good spot or what??

I meant, Does anyone know how someone should go about making them, any links, anything about them? Is there even a term I can call it by? I can't just search 'FAKE PAPERS' on google.. and 'FAKE LEGAL WALL PAPERS GRAFFITI' gave me nothing interesting...
And plus, I never done a legal wall before, so I don't know how a paper would even look like.

The big advantage to day-bombing is you can see what you're doing. Sounds stupid but it makes a difference; day-bombing means no excuse for sloppiness or wack color combos.
