What is Art?

Theres alot of arguments of whether graffiti is art or not. But after reading around i found out that their answers change because of there views on what "art" really is.

All in all there will always be a contradicting argument agaisnt each opinions but hey, whoever has the most wins yeah?

Please read before you start.

1.just because its drawn on a paper with scribbles doesnt mean its art.
2. thiers no RULE that says art is drawn with a canvas and blahblah.

keep in mind of photographic art, scuplture art,

so please dont get biased.

hopefully after we learn what "art" really is. then you can answer if graffiti is art.

Graffiti is art when people are walking down the street and come across a character or piece that is really eye catching or appealing to them and they stop, and take a few moments out of their busy schedule to admire it. Vandalism is shitty gang signs or pieces that the person didn't even try to make look good, that destroys property and or make people feel or think negative things when they see it.

In my opinion, it depends on what the graffiti piece looks like.
If it makes you admire it and pause to get a second good look at it, then I definitely consider it art. If its an attempt to destroy property, to mark gang territory, or it looks like the person didn't even try to make it look nice, then I don't think it's art at all.
