Ahhh damn, I just hate when toys come over here and post these shit pieces without listening to advice other people give... I mean like there are some days when there&#39;s like a page or two of fucking awesome sketches but they barely occur. Listen, the reason people keep saying to go simple is not because you just get your letters really good by doing em over and over. It&#39;s so you can get used to having all your letter bars the same width, get your 3d good, etc. Now this is much easier when it&#39;s simple because well it&#39;s simple and easy to practice. After that, you can make addons that fit the style and other things too. If you just start out trying everything at once, you&#39;ll be adding shit to more shit, which, as you can guess, just leads to a big pile of shit. So please, just take our advice, go simple, start with bubble/block letters and just let fate take its way instead of trying to forge your own style out of nothing. Trust me, over time, when you get bangin simples, you prolly won&#39;t even want to do wildstyles, your simples will be soo much better lookin to you.

Also, try and keep the text beef outta here. If you guys really want to beef, you might as well post sketches to prove you&#39;re the better writer so we&#39;ll have something to look at and crit too.

craze the second one looks pretty nice the only suggestion is maybe try a capital r and a.

pip go simpler and dont worry about trying to color it to cover up the fact that its not good, maybe put your letters closer together etc

it makes me cringe when really toy kids give other toys crits telling them their pieces are hot when theyre garbage

ZealBomber, all the letters have a different styles. The S is pretty nice but it has to many extensions. Get rid of the arrow on the Y. The C is pretty ugly

secondly i like your k, your p is decent and your c is generic, maybe do a capital a cuz the lower case a doesnt really fit

and those markers make it look sorta toy so maybe do it in black and white or try buying some new markers or something

keep direction in mind now, start making the piece have some flow, or movement to it.

also your C,R, and A are all on one level, and the Z, E are a bit lower. Try to even those out or use them for flow.

On the first flick the fill bothers me. It just is distracting to the eyes and kind of makes the A look like an E. On the second flick like it was already said the J looks like a Y the connection needs to go behind the J somehow because it interfers with the integrity of the letter. I like the handstyle alot on the second one though.

the way the R overlaps itself is sloppy as well as the thin line in the middle of your A, the J&#39;snice and simple, but i dont like the A and the R

After my last post I decided to go to more basic letters, realizing I was trying to go too far ahead of my abilities. Ignoring the crap on the top of the page that&#39;s cut off, I came up with this.

I like the handstyle, but it seems too .... I dunno, generic? Overplayed? Too something. And I don&#39;t like arrows; don&#39;t know why I used one. I definitely need work on the bubble letter styles. I tried to keep the letters consistent, though. And I got curious about gradients.

Forgive me, I&#39;m just thinking through my keyboard.

Looking back on it now, I need to work on a single direction 3d more, attempting that inward and then rainbow style didn&#39;t quite work out.

I get what you&#39;re saying about the letter structure too, I&#39;ll simplify it and focus on some consistancy. I get bored after a while and just start going at it which is probably why my U&#39;s always turn out terrible.

Once again I tried to keep the letters consistent and sized right, just trying to develop a style to call my own, and even kind of poked fun at the little swirlies.

Twitch= I really like it, though some of your 3d is off, and the letters on your first piece arent very well specified, also the second one is a little better with the structure, but still needs work. I suggest going a little simpiler :)

Seka,= Well its pretty good reminds me of my first sketch:), though its much better. But over all the structure isnt really impressing me and its kind of sloppy like you said, and the "E" aint that good

k. try not worry bout colouring, even just do the outline, then a subtle single line forcefield. for 3d, u gotta cut it off about 1-2cm behind ur letters. dont go all the way to the VP looks cheesy. also avoid doin wat u did on the bit coming down from the top of the C. make the lines on either side of that parallel. ;)

OK, I decided Swet is too good for me to be writing his name around so I&#39;m gonna play around with swekt, sound good?

Also tricks, hate to say it but your A, W and K all lack in good structure. The A is OK, but the bar doesn&#39;t fit the style, the W is barely recognizable, it just looks like a couple bars and the top right part of the K just isn&#39;t doing it for me... Otherwise I love it, but yeah, the B just seems to jump out since it&#39;s very well defined unlike the other letters and it seems to be the most "full" is that makes any sense

the piece has reasonable good structure except for the C, it doesnt fit. It&#39;s not overlapping the E and how you have it weighted heavily at the top left does not work. 3D is good. But clean p your lines man. Use a ruler if you have to until your used to it but damn, the scribbliness of takes away from it for sure.
Handsyle is nice and simple, the bubbles look dope



Just clean it up and keep playing with letters.

wow thanks, im thrilled to get crits from you. scribbled lines are because i usually sketch without a pencil, just straight "pen freestyle". seems to flow better for me, but then it turns out like that. but recently ive absolved to start using a pencil.
good point with the overlap and all that.

ill try to post up my work more, the problem is that half the time u end up getting passed by, and the other half u only get crits from people much worse. vry rare that u get something helpful like yourself. but im gonna start.

Yea the T looks horrid and the W is ok but the rest is pretty sick. I don&#39;t like how your E and your S get really skinny and then the rest of the letters aren&#39;t as skinny if that makes any sense. BTW are we still on with the halloween battle with paint fumes?
