RAs= man ty for the crit, now yours is amazing man, the throwy is great though your P on it looks a bit wierd, characters are dope they make me laugh lol, because of the way the look, now for your piece, I like it but not really feelin the extensions that much, the D extension looks ok, but the O one is a bit wierd and aint that good, the P one is alright

So basically work on the D and the P a bit and the O work on it alot :)

Would it be bad if I just shortened it to "mith" or "mith1"? I honestly thought the S was giving me troubles anyways and the five letters made it just too long to make it viable for quick throw ups.


I guess it&#39;s a good thing I haven&#39;t done any throw ups with the name or anything yet then, just sketches.

-ESO- I really like the coloring and style (though it&#39;s a little strange that the only place red is used is in those arrows at the end), but there are a few pop outs and extensions that look a little odd too, namely the one at the bottom of the W and the arrow under the S. The W is because it&#39;s the only extension that goes out as far as it does, and the S is because it comes out of absolutely nowhere. Maybe if you had the arrow come out the bottom of the K or have an extension on the bottom of the S, it&#39;ll give you that same really dope looking outline (and balanced with the arrow under the I) without the awkwardness.

RAs- I would rate the markers a 8 personally, unfortainetly i dont know how to blend markers so, i am not sure if these blend correctly ussaly if i put one color over the other they make another dark color which sometimes works for me

code what i want you to do is write that 100 times with straight block letters
and keep the lines parralell

when i mean straigh block letters i mean think the most boring looking letters and draw them like the ones on your keyboard draw them on a straight line keep them all the same height and width and after 100 of those do 100 more but curve some places

work on your handy

dont colour your stuff yet just practice outlines over and over until you can draw one without looking

do this and you will thank me ignore me and you will never progress

acon-just keep trying to do block letters like teh thing neza posted. eventually you&#39;ll get it. it might take a while but it gives a base to start from so that when you try and progress, you&#39;ll understand how letters flow and your progression will look good. i know it probably doesnt make sense that drawing boring letters will give you great letters and help you understand flow but, well, it works.

keep at it. ;)

raz-that look alright but really you really ust need to start with block letter. like whats on your keyboard, just that. anything more is a little on down the line.

hey man, listen. if u dont want to heed what i say, then fine, i could care less, but pay attention.

you wanna get better? stop what uve been doing. as much as people like acon think its "dope shit," they are wrong. ask another better writer, i garruntee that they will agree with me. your characters are dope, but your letters are wack. lose all the extentions. the cracks. the arrows. the goddamn spraycans for letters. the letter breaks. the addons. the chips. the backgrounds. focus on your LETTERS.

the purpose of extensions are only to fill dead space and to complement the piece as a whole. arrows give movement, and are a form of extensions, but should be used tastefulling and reservedly.

make sure all the strokes of your letters are the same width. strokes being the lines of the letters themselves, not your marks. i hope that makes sense.

dont get ahead of yourself

a million times better ras. u have potential. on the first ur drifting down a bit. keep ur letters level. i rele like the throw but maybe try to get the D&#39;s point in the middle next to the other letter&#39;s? dunno how that would work tho.
and the second, dont cut off the letters like that. round them off.

dont overlap quite so much. start trying to bend the letters. not much though. take your time.

1- u got 2 different types of styls goin on
2- letters stucture is crazy. random shizzel
3- what is that white shit? cuz it aint workin
4 - the 3d stuff it just aint workin
5 - the colours of the fill it aint workin

so what u gotta do it start wid the simple shit blocked letters learn the letter stucture from a - z once to got the going slow and i mean slowly adjust the letter stucture hopely u wont make or post anythin like that agen. den once u get used to ur letter stucture start filling but choose three colours that work.

bouncingsoul - man im convinced that adding some sharper angles and a few straight lines will really compliment the rounded/soft style you got now . . maybe look to leave some more negative space inbetween the letters so things dont get so clumped together . .

Craze I like both of them the the overall best is the biggest one, but the only faulty thing in it is the middle of the A passing through all the last 2 letters cause it throws or E off just a little.And the top one is nice n steady.


And trash all i can say is lets see it in color I like that style imo. The karak is ok but it kinda throws the peice off

t: peygone, In the first one the only letter I really like is the Y, it looks like you&#39;re trying too much to innovate on the letters. Start out a little more simple and get the basics down so the letters are immediately recognizable, then work on from there. The same is true of the second, but a few trouble spots I see right away are the thickness of the top of the R, and the T. The E, S, and C aren&#39;t bad, but you really need to work on the basics and get some letter structure down before you try to innovate. It&#39;s the mistake all us toys try to make is that we try to get ahead of ourselves and get crazy style before we&#39;ve even learned how to tag or do simples or bubbles.

Just get basic and work from there.
