Sear, fuck everyone else's opinions, I think your simples look great as they are. Your handies seem a little shaky (the one at the bottom expecially) and the ER is seperated because the E isnt overlapped. Your M looks wierd because its spaced out too much... I love your A's and R's though.

ok, first off, dont take any of this personally. its to help you.

pointer #1- LOSE THE ARROW. NO.

simplify your structure esp. on that S. all that stickin out does NOT look good.

try to keep all your letters the same width and height, it will look a lot better.

your 3-d isnt really bad. its relatively accurate, except for that arrow but get rid of that n itll be ok i guess.

try to make your lines kinda straighter. if it helps, sketch it with pencil first, which i think you mayve done.....use a ruler if u have to.

that should start you off.......post up your next one n well go from there.

aight you want some real crits... first off your handie is pretty damn lame. take off all those squigglies and make it a bit more simple, try not to go for jigsaw pieces. Next, take off ALL YOUR ADD ONS. ALL OF THEM. then bring it back, and while your at it, fix up the E so its not blocked so much by the P. also, in lots of places the 3d is off, especially the E.

poed - not bad, just cut the 3d a little shorter and instead of bending it upward bend it along the contours of the bottom of each letter. maybe try that letter style with a dropshadow, even though i always tell people to try dropshadows hah.

bawksta - feelin that bawk canvas, background looks good for your first canvas. i love when you do that purple fill.

first opf all the 3D doesnt make sense, it all has to go to the same point, yours has a curve, but the bottoms of your eltters dont, second of all, your lines in the 3D are ok, try to have 2, or 3 sizes of lines, very skinny, medium, fat, or just two, medium and skinn,y and alternate them randomly

lead(followmy), good to see you&#39;re spending some time on your sketches but try and take it back a notch or two. Simple your stuff up a bit.

Socrates, character is awesome. I&#39;m not too keen on the first two sketches but the last two have quite a nice style going on.

Ras, not really keen on that style but keep at it like that with those simples, I can see them turning into something hot.

Please guys, try and crit the few sketches above you. It doesn&#39;t matter how much or worse the person is than you but it&#39;s really helpful no matter how small of a comment you have. Myself and a few other people here spend a shitload of time hanging around giving crits then we post our stuff and it just gets rolled over by ultra-toys who take no notice of anyone elses work.

fix your s and your e, and the vertical bar on the t should be straight or just slightly bent
your e:the bottom bar is too long
your s: its just ugly (sorry) make it flow more
your 3d is on point i guess, and the t on your handie is dope

not trying to be a dick but i hate that lead. it needs a lot more development before even thinking about puting it out on the streets. for one u cant tell the first thing is even a letter. your letters are together to much to tell anything really. just looks like a blob of lines and some dots. keep at it man. also if u cant get a throw lookin good with a marker and pencil how do u expect to make it decent with paint. ;)

btw, this is only my opnion. if u like it and u think its street worthy then by all means paint away.

it looks like "RN" with random dots in the N, dont try and connect your letters liek that it doesnt work most of the time, just do simple blocks not bubbles until you understnad how to create a letter of your own

Did you bite that character from that Looney Toons basketball movie haha. It looks good though, that K is perfect, add the hole in the R and make the U fit more, it looks too "open." Like it&#39;s too spread apart and it doesn&#39;t look right with the other more compact letters

Kickflip. Take a couple steps back. Go back to boring block letters. You&#39;ll hear it a thousand times but theres a reason for it. Dont do any extentions. Theres a reason why the thread is called: toy black books post your sketches with to many arrows. Once you start gaining letter structure then add shit on but you gotta start on the bottom.

Mez its ok but some of the lumps on the letters look a bit stupid, bring ur letters closer and smooth them out its be good.

Masoe the bottom ones by far the best, but fix ur E its lookin like a capital N with an extension out the bottom left.

first u should resize ur image before u post it would help.

1st one not bad but u need to start simple learn the structure of each letter. and make them the same size, block letters. this should make ur graff look alot betta. so take this advise and use it...
