12th Stone reel fresh.. the letter style could be improved but its so clean that you realy cant complain..i like the second one a little better the green pops off of that light background...

WFL...it says M Z right? definatly like the color scheme you could make the fill two colors..maybe a diffrent shade of the turquoise ...the z needs a little work...it doesnt flow that well...maybe bring the outside indent line down a little more to make that part a little thicker

be more concerned with letters than the coloring , but see how the right side of the "h" is smaller than the left? make them the same width and the square inside your "o" looks weird b/c its to one side

minesweep...its good for a thowie ...i think the only thing i would work on is that D it needs to be a little diffrent...like try using a concaved line for the straight part of the letter...but for the most part the letters are all simalar size and the "ridges" or "humps" of each top part of the letter match...maybe you should use a theme in your throw ...like make one part of each letter do a little squiggle ...just a thought ...but i dont know how it would work out with those letters ...keep it up tho

Heres an easy way to practice. Try drawing up your tag name without any arrows. Perfect way to pratice with letter formation without over-raping it with arrows.

Thanks, I got a few styles here and there, but I&#39;m not convinced my quantity equals real quality yet so I&#39;m hanging back for a good while longer. ;)

Go to your local art store.

Get a jumbo pilot marker

Get a nice notebook.

Get some nice pencils, and a few big erasers.

Get some coloring markers (i prefer prismas and letraset).

Get a fine tip drawing pen/marker thingy (for outlines), get 2 w/different thicknesses if possible. (size 05 is good)

Get a gel tip white pen

Go home. AND SKETCH&#33; like really sketch, dont make a single dark line on the paper. Just light pencil strokes, erase often, work around the shape you want your letter to be... spend just like an hour sketching/erasing/sketchin, DONT WORRY ABOUT FORMING A DARK OUTLINE&#33;&#33;&#33;, take pride in your shit, no rush, just light pencil sketching. After you have nice letters, lightly sketch some 3d if you want. and when you finally have a nice light letter outline....

Weldo- Yeah I hear you. I&#39;m really tryin to push my letter stucture forward but I can tell it&#39;s gonna take alot more work. I put a whole fuckin battalion of addons on that sucker to try and compensate but most people caught on quick. The overall asthetic of the piece is nice enough, that&#39;s why people like it, it&#39;s just when you look beneath the surface it gets a little ragged. as far as further critique- I&#39;d say lose the arrow on the left connected to the S. Try and round off some of the edges a bit but not too much. 2 of the biggest problems for begginers is they either round and bubble everything too much or they go opposite and make everything too pointy and jagged. And if you really have to use the arrows, look for some examples of them in pro pieces. There&#39;s variations and subtle nuances that turn an arrow from toy to tuff. ;) I&#39;m still impressed with your progression though. :)

i agree totaly expect for one thing, fuck the easer, use ne type of smooth writing PEN and dont earse as much as posisble because then u might erase sumtin that looked good but u just thought it didnt at the time, i do all my free styles for letter brain storming in pen and i look bak on them a couple days later and keep the ones i think loook good, dont earsae like fuck until u are piecin sumthing or doin a proper piece of that style of letters other wise its pointless to keep earasing

seykone i like that alot. not a big fan of the big curve in the S and theres a bit in the midfdle of the Y that looks a bit awkward. the hole in the O is a bit off. but its quality man, keep it up

I guess my suggestion is to not make your letters so jagged.
try and make your letters look more like letters, not graffiti.
I dont know if that makes any sense. it sounded cooler in my head.
maybe its just my thoughts, but I think in order to stylize letters, you gotta know how to draw your letters right. like straight letter style.
I know everyone says it, but its for a reason.
