yeah and like I just rocking some 2 year old osiris skate shoes wich have got me through my whole graff career. Dont paint anything on your wall, you change your name too much. Just make a canvas with paint pens or sumthin then when you change your name, it&#39;ll be easy to change it out... :lol: I&#39;m just messin with yea, I def. love this style more than anything you&#39;ve done. name not so much, but the letters flow nice. Throw an O on and it could be AMKO like AMCO from cartoons&#33;&#33; Kidding. <_< Dig it man, keep it up. :)

fuckthatgame I like it alot, its just going to be hard to get it all symetrical like you have it with 3 letters, I like the style though and your executing it nicely. Keep workin on it.

amk - i think the K is too hidden because of the extension bringing the left bit down and kicking right.

instead, you could have that bar coming straight down then kicking to the left and then adding those little things that you have on the right sticks of the A and M.

also, the right leg of the K, i think you should have it horizontally coming out, without the slight curl upwards, dunno...it kinda bugs me.

but yeah, your style has really come a long way. have you got your paint yet?

dim - when you make bars make it a clean line. make it clean by going fast. try to make your letters the same size proportionally. they&#39;ll look alot better and most of all just mess around with your letters.

Sample, too many addons in the wrong places IMO, the letters wouldn&#39;t look too bad if they didn&#39;t have all the &#39;ridgies&#39; on them. That &#39;S&#39; needs some work too.

Eas, try and make fatter bars, and make your letter flow a little more, they&#39;re quite straight and stiff looking at the moment.

Dimr, if you&#39;re going to give that curve to the back of the D then you need to give it to the R too. Your &#39;i&#39; is too plain extension-wise compared to the other letters, looks naked. I wouldn&#39;t use extensions just yet anyways.

krazzie, its A3 :P sucks about the teacher. The throws are nice and the sketch in the middle is looking good too, would probably look good inked.

sample- your letters are not that bad but not too original. Dont try to do random add ons it makes the peice look worse right now. Don&#39;t worry bout colors right now, just do simples work on 3-d the add ons and arrows will come along.
sacwacko- just go more simple, just like i said to sample dont worry bout colors at all, just sketch as much simples as you can and your letters will transform from that trust me kid. work on your handy too.
d-g- beautiful simples kid but i do see a knews/cheu influence, but its not bad.

sample, chill with all that. if u just dropped all the fancy shit, ur letters would be solid. add shit SLOWLY. and to add extensions, w/e, FOLLOW YOUR BARS. they will show u where and how to extend. and lose all the bits for sure.

Rigon, I feel that you know what your doing with the flow of the piece and everything but your letters need work, try using proportional bars to construct all of your letters, start with basic letters, then once you truly know those letters like your own body, start bending and molding for even more flow and style.

DimR that looks just like my early sketches. it definitely will not look good when you put it on a wall. The lines you are using, such as the softer edges and whatnot look alot better with basic ass simple letters. as cliche as it sounds get your simples down and study the letters so you know where it looks good to make breaks and extensions so all your lines arent the same. good luck though.

Rigon, I feel that you know what your doing with the flow of the piece and everything but your letters need work, try using proportional bars to construct all of your letters, start with basic letters, then once you truly know those letters like your own body, start bending and molding for even more flow and style.

I&#39;ve been using that style &#39;C&#39;, &#39;E&#39; and &#39;S&#39; for fucking ages, they&#39;re reasoanbly generic anyways. If you go back far enough, or search through my previous posts you will see these sketches that show I have been using that base style of letters for a while. Long before knews was using them.

No your letter actually do need alot of work, I could care less about your coloring. And Internet styles? I agree they happen, but I&#39;m actually greatly influenced by local writers. Your letters have problems and going simple, getting to know your letters better, would have led you to laugh at the idea at stretching an R like that. Plus your piece dosn&#39;t really stay consistant, seeing how you add a bunch of shit to your letters, then finish it off with a basic block W. It completely killed any chance of your piece moving together. Don&#39;t think your above basics...You have to build on those basics or you&#39;ll crash and burn. No beef, just accept crits.

Then man, simple block letters, looks like someone chewed up your ish. :P

Samp, I&#39;m feelin the style...dont bend the P that way and loos the bumps, just do letters for now and make you M bigger...

Emel...cant really see 2nd piece, but the 1st on is nice, just loose the extension off the right leg of the R. or wait is that an N? I dont know, work on it though...

your "S" is your best letter but it doesn&#39;t fit with the others well...keep playin&#39; with the other letters but keep your "S". ;)

enigmatic. drop the fucking color. ur not ready for it, u dont need it. focus on the letters, the letters, the letters. theyre all that matters. u can always add color later. otherwise, the R is ur worst letter, make it like a normal R, not like a handy, so take out the top inward curve if u know what i mean. otherwise, just bars bars bars. play with em all day long. and if u insist on 3d, which i feel towards the same way as color, make it shorter, ur not clean enough for the long 3d to work.

sample, chill with all that. if u just dropped all the fancy shit, ur letters would be solid. add shit SLOWLY. and to add extensions, w/e, FOLLOW YOUR BARS. they will show u where and how to extend. and lose all the bits for sure.

wow. my heart dropped with that.

i am happy with where i am. but i am also desperate to get farther. i have realized, to some degree at least, what you said, but i always tried to think that it was in my mind. sadly, what u said confirmed it. i know that i should be trying more shit out, but ive had twoo major problems. 1 is that im not very creative and 2, which is probably the worst, is that i feel very unconfident that i am ready for it. being here for so long, getting down simples simple simples, not using any extensions n all that shit has gotten beat into me i suppose, whenever i start, i cant think of where to add whatever, and so i automatically think, o, well thats a sign that im just not ready, keep sketching simples, and eventually itl come. but now im running out of things to fuck with, at least so i thought.

as for the fills, well mostly, i dont have a lot of markers, and as i said, im not very creative. as well as that i feel like, and ive said it a thousand times before, i want to master, really master, my letters, before i start to mask them in color. but ill work on it.

finally, i want to ask you abt your last sentence, which is the one that really scared me, that this is as far as i can go with this style? what do u mean by that. i have only, one style, and its one that ive worked for years on to get as far as i have. i have no artistic talent from the beginning. think, "cannot even draw a stick figure"

by the way, all my sketches are quickly done now, b/c somehow, my 2 hour sketches come out no different then my 30 second ones, beside being slightly more clean. another symptom of being stuck at this stage for so long, although it helps when painting.


anyway im kind of stoned to be honest, so if im making a fool of myself here, would a mod be so kind as to delete it?

its the same critisicm i have with gesus&#39; work, becuz it seems like you guys just got happy with where you are and gave up trying to progress. You should always be trying new shit and experimenting with new styles and combinations, i dont care how good you are. The best writers out there are constantly evolving, thats how it should be. id like to see some new letters out of you, id also like to see you throw more fills into your work. I know some people are big on black and white (me being one of them) but your sketches look half finished or just really quickly done.

i am happy with where i am. but i am also desperate to get farther. i have realized, to some degree at least, what you said, but i always tried to think that it was in my mind. sadly, what u said confirmed it. i know that i should be trying more shit out, but ive had twoo major problems. 1 is that im not very creative and 2, which is probably the worst, is that i feel very unconfident that i am ready for it. being here for so long, getting down simples simple simples, not using any extensions n all that shit has gotten beat into me i suppose, whenever i start, i cant think of where to add whatever, and so i automatically think, o, well thats a sign that im just not ready, keep sketching simples, and eventually itl come. but now im running out of things to fuck with, at least so i thought.

as for the fills, well mostly, i dont have a lot of markers, and as i said, im not very creative. as well as that i feel like, and ive said it a thousand times before, i want to master, really master, my letters, before i start to mask them in color. but ill work on it.

finally, i want to ask you abt your last sentence, which is the one that really scared me, that this is as far as i can go with this style? what do u mean by that. i have only, one style, and its one that ive worked for years on to get as far as i have. i have no artistic talent from the beginning. think, "cannot even draw a stick figure"

by the way, all my sketches are quickly done now, b/c somehow, my 2 hour sketches come out no different then my 30 second ones, beside being slightly more clean. another symptom of being stuck at this stage for so long, although it helps when painting.


anyway im kind of stoned to be honest, so if im making a fool of myself here, would a mod be so kind as to delete it?

Your thinking too much into it man. You got your simples down. We know that. You dont know where to add what. Thats the fun part. Just mess with differant things. It doesnt alwyas need to look perfect and eventually, just like your simples, your add-ons will become easy to come up with. Dont know what to do? Look at other pieces and get some ideas. Add something here and there and if it doesnt look right, then erase it and try again. Trial and error.

The d is a weird shape the width of your bars varies and makes it look rele toy, the a in lower case dosnt rele work with upper case letters i used to rock my a&#39;s like that but keeping the word all one case is the best solution, but again its all disproportionate, the n or the r i duno wat that letter is, is fucd up and just plain wack start over with that letter, the k is alright but it aint got no style to it.

wen u do simples try doing a line at the top a line at the bottom and splitting that into boxes the same amount as ther are letters then fill them out wid ur letters accordingly, that should help wid ur proportions

no worries i wasnt trying to knock you, just give you some suggestions for progression. when i say youve taken that style to its end point i dont mean that you need to start from scratch. i mean that you&#39;ve conquered a good simple, which most people cant do period, but you need to recognize that you have to move to the next level. take that simple and build on it like a foundation, add to it and use it as the building blocks for more elaborate and complex ish.

start tweaking your letters, do something you havent done before, even if it looks shitty at first..which it almost always does at the beginning. get outside your comfort zone and start looking at your letters in a new way.

think of them as a living thing, they need to grow. like ive said before, i have a million times more respect for a writer who is willing to go out on a limb and do his own thing than somebody who just follows the style wars model. dont get discouraged if it doesnt look fly immediately, cuz nobodies shit does, just work with it and it WILL get better

Thanks for the picture alive, I get what you&#39;re saying. I just let the lines hang out to show where they were going when I erased the pencil lines. I guess it&#39;s not a good thing tho. But thanks for the advice. I enjoy your letters a lot, but like everyones saying, I would be interested to see what you could do with them if you really got down to it.

I did a sketch, and added some extensions. I don&#39;t know how to do them, so I was just messing around.
My H looks like shit, I usually write is like this »h« but i thought a capitel H would flow better...

skesh drop the arrows and extensions your letters are strait try to make them a little sharper

Do y&#39;all have some tips to do extensions? This was the first time for me with extensions, and I cant do them. But i want to do some extensions now, im tired of standard simple letters

u mean add-ons? u jus gotta make them flow wif the letters/style and think of them as if they were actually part of the letters

i would start with adding tabs and lil effects to your letters before going with full on extensions/addons . . . and i dont think of addons as a part of the letter structure, probaly the opposite, i do teh letter then look to see where an addon would help reinforce flow of letters or eat up some unwanted space . . .
