once you learn the structure of an "A" you can start to bend the bars different ways...

you don&#39;t HAVE to use them, but it helped me a lot.

Kid questioning bars- Agreed with Atesk, although he&#39;s not one for being particularly polite. :P Bars make graffiti work... I&#39;m gonna have to dig up some old sketches to show progression. I can prove the huge leap you make when you stop goin all "free willy" and drop some bars. That&#39;s when proggression happens. If you&#39;re beginning, and not using bars, any flow you get is really just by luck. You&#39;re wingin&#39; it and hoping it&#39;s a decent simulation of what writers make.

loooky looky lek nice nice lek: work on your handy, and i would say, dont overlap the letters so much. the k gets a bit lost undeneath the overlappiing. maybe tilt the K a bit more so you can see more of it. and moake the leg that goes over the E a bit shorter. once your done, post it up and i will be more than happy to crit you again :)

also the right side of the a as an upright bar has different widths to say the right side of the w or the left side of the k which kinda unbalances it

i sure wish i could fade like you..

but really,
check sume&#39;s tutorial in the new 2 graff thread.
the thing is, say your fading from red to yellow? youll use red, lay that down first, use a dark orange lay that down over it, then light orange and then yellow.
but check the tutorial.
