AHER- yours looks like hes smelling his hands... its probably cus the lines you got to the left of his nose are somewhat outlining his cheek implying that there is some sort of tension. i know you said before about your not trying to make it completely realistic and it looks like you already did a finished outline.

No offence but that looks sick, like take it to the ER. Do not be fooled I am not claiming to be a surgeon, but I know how to clean scrapes and bruises. Now I say ER and not the morgue because "Gentle man, we can rebuild him. We have the technology." Well not so much technology as general know-how. Your bars seem to vary, and seem, as a whole, very skinny. Your K's upper branch should not come out of the lower branch, try extending it from the body. You Z looks like a two. Do not, and I shal repeat, do not have your top Z curve if you are over lapping the middle section. Lose some of the wack extensions, maybe not all of them, but a good deal of them. Your letters seem a bit too far from each other also. If this does not help you I am not responsible for any mal practice.

i am kinda an art major in college, and i think we would both agree that realizm is somewhat boooooring. ive drawn tons of faces and figures and i personally prefer a drawing that comes from a persons imagination above a drawing that simply copies an image perfectly. :)

You need a theme. Like see how the bottom parts of the K and N are similar?
There is a sharp turn with the S but the rest of the letters are rounded pretty wide. I would suggest trying them with sharp turns instead of rounded because it gives more possibilities.

Remember to keep those bars the same thickness and it will look much better, then you can focus on making the letters flow with eachother. but if you can't get the basis of letter thickness don't bother with flow.

just think of it as shadows for the letter...observe other peices of work with 3d.....start with just regular black then you can get a bit more advanced....always make sure your 3d work shades over the same side...dont shade one letter on the left side..and the other ones on the right if you know what i mean....work as if there is an imaginary sun on one side of the paper and just see where that takes you if that makes sense ;)

nah actually i just write out the alphabet and cross out the letters i dont want....and then try and mix and match to come up with something unique...since i havent heard of it i went with it...used to write SAEK (sake, forsaqen) but the bitch ass pigs got my blackbook..i got court on the 10th this month...

Tear- Something about the balance is off in those. The second one is way better, maybe make the R the same size as the E?

fr3gna- P in pre-cal is kinda off, just needs its tail redirected otherwise its great.

Tape- Pretty dope, the T and P need to be a bit bigger, work on your slime.

misery- new to graff thread, use bars
doap- i like that d and o, that style would be good for a whole peice
kez- lookin better, but keep the lines straight

tear- on the newer one extend the r's right leg out more, letters look pretty nice, throw some 3d on it
skin- you should be sketching alot more than that, focus on just using bars, no swirls or extensions

kez, work on the flow and spacing of the letters. some spots the consistency is off. but it has potential. try an tighten the letters together to kill a portion of the deadspace

bork, keep the bars in your letters consistant. dont try fancier stuff yet. get used to porportions and bar consistency before you try to adjust the bars in different ways. work on your R, its an eyesore.

frantis? good simples. some of the letters would be worked out a lot better. for example. your F at the beginning kind of looks like a P how its connected to the next letter. and the third last letter (T)? could use some work. i dont know if its a T,Z, or C with a tail. but keep at it, good style to work with.

wings, make that K on the KAS piece more K-ish. i thought it was an R. i wouldnt connect the bars on that last wings piece yet. you dont have the full understanding of simples to be trying that.

fen, solid simple. keep sketchin it until it evolves itself.

its liek theres no motion to it, try and fix that.
and your k seems abit thin.
look at the width of your k then look at the width of your e, no proportional.
your letters are curved and then you go make your R squarish, doesn't fit, should of rounded it somehow.
and the little thin line running through your A is pretty random and in my opinion, doesn't fit with your other letters.
i would looks the quotation marks on each side and add some bars in your 3d.

Mass honestly i have to say im not a big fan of that one, your gym class hero dude was much better. The face looks too flushed and eyes are too dark, kinda looks like a zombie... and like who ever said i wouldnt have made the lines on the hands solid. it wouldve looked more realistic that way. and in the future lips dont have a solid line around them either there just a darker shade, took me awhile to get that down but when i did my portraits came out much better. keep it up though you do nice work

snipa your doin the same thing i did when i started. make all your letters the same size. no matter lower case or upper case. an to make this short go to the new to graff thread

KROC Oner = The "KEZ" is pretty good like always, as far as the "KEI", is that a new thing that you're trying?...its good but clean it up a little, you know, cause the "e" is off a bit...over all i like it...What about mine?...

pros- Im torn....i want to say go to the simps....but the structure seems almost legit. either way there is overkill goo goz. ill let some one more experienced than I determine the quality of your letters. nice try though. clean sketching.
