sate: i'd say work a lil more on your letters you got your bars n stuff right but idk bout the smoothness the S covers the A too much , maybe over lap the a over the s? and the connect thingie comming off the S into an A needs to go. OVERlap your letters the other direction .. like A over S , and the T over A, and the E over T. n work on your extensions a lil too.

Sate: Clean, keep working at it. I'd fix the middle bar on your S.
Kew: You went from simple straight into jumbled shitball. It's progression. Make your simples a little cleaner, and go into little extensions, instead of shitstorms of arrows and bumps. Try to keep your letters the same size. Keep your dimensions together. the more symmetrical your piece is, the better.
Stez: To be honest, I hate your throw, but I REALLY hate your handstyle. It's fucking ugly as hell. Your simple is pretty clean, but I'd fix the T. Oh, and DON'T THROW UP CIRCLE A'S LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS. Especially if you're in a "crew."

Crust- there is a lot going on there, maybe tone it down a tad, or space some of your accessories out...but otherwise not half bad

Sate- coming along nicely, I dont like the ends of your S, the top is a little too tiny and the bottom looks a little off

Kew- The first one, the K is so unproportional. Third one is def the best...work on that style. The rest have to much going on

Blackmidget- about all I like is those all black throws

Been a while since I've posted anything, and it's about time for shit to actually get up in this thread instead of just beef.
Btw RedEyes, that was in 2007, and he didn't even have that name yet. I'm also pretty damn sure that's not his flickr anyway.

Crits:
Lux - Your X is a little messed up, and it doesn't match the width of the other two letters.
Somber - That M is a little bit too wide and is bigger than the other letters.
Steez - I personally don't like halos in handys, but your throw is alright. Your simp is a little weird though, since you never repeat any of the line widths (S) on any other letter. Have it be all bars or repeat the line width again.

I'm not sure if I should stick to a capital A or lowercase.

Also, graff isn't strictly hip hop, either.

Make cleaner lines. Your throw's N, A, and M are ugly. The S is barely doable.
I also think both your handstyles are ugly. A few would probably say the long one is nice. I disagree, but maybe that's just me.
Your Simples NEED CLEANER LINES. Your S should look better. N is probably the only good letter, and that's because it's the simplest. When you can make good strokes, then you'll be ready to add better extensions than extra bars in random places.

i understand what you mean crust, but i usually sketch with choppy lines in pencil and make full strokes and a marker afterwards...should i not do that

by the way yeah, the simp was in pencil. ill probably go over it to get the feel for better lines though. my main problem is my shitty shaky hand..=/

cocacola- the colors arent really going well together for me. i agree with funhouse to bring down the "s" loop some more. it will make it look even with the "c"
funhouse- the "t" and "e" sort of look out of place without some of the extra add ons that the other letters have. good job on the 3-d
deem- work simpler. these extra things on your letters arent helping you. work on getting the 3-d right

In my opinion, Crus just seems like such an unfinished name.. Seeing that swiggity sweet piece and everything is good and all.. but I'll never be able to view it as finished. Especially because, structurally, everything is leaning in one direction, instead of all the letters leaning in to middle.

Although I think the C, R, and the U could use some work. And you need to work on that handstyle. Crus is hard to come up with, though.. I don't think I was able to make a good handstyle for it when I was writing Crust..

minkus - that sketch is pretty intense, I think you should make it a bit more simple though and try to either put more detail on the bottom left or just drop all those extensions on the bottom right. Because right now it looks like your piece is pretty imbalanced.

haha i started out with this name. my advice while your gettin started make all the letters the same size. no faces in your E's and really try and perfect that L to E transition. btw start studying throw style K's now cuz they can be a bitch. they get fun as you get better but get some inspiration.

Sinkilla - Work on your bars and just make each one have the same weight. Ex: Your B has a small hole in the top, so above it has a greater weight, and for now, stick to the same widths.
Nast - Second one looks better, but not by much. The S doesn't look very good in either.
Chip - Work on it.
