k man, the only REAl advice i can give u when it comes to realism is that u need to observe.
to be an artist u need to memorize how things work, form, act,.....how they appear in the light and in the dark.

this is mainly applying to the small details in ur work, the hair on the tiger, the pants on the skier. take alook at someones hair and watch it, same with pants, pay attention to the way they fold and bend.....its not jus random spikes and lines.

for the tiger, pay attention to how the light blends with the dark, never outline something, only show where the shadow stops. the only time u want to use outlines is when ur working on a cartoonish style, like karaks, NEVEr in realism

k man, the only REAl advice i can give u when it comes to realism is that u need to observe.
to be an artist u need to memorize how things work, form, act,.....how they appear in the light and in the dark.

this is mainly applying to the small details in ur work, the hair on the tiger, the pants on the skier. take alook at someones hair and watch it, same with pants, pay attention to the way they fold and bend.....its not jus random spikes and lines.

for the tiger, pay attention to how the light blends with the dark, never outline something, only show where the shadow stops. the only time u want to use outlines is when ur working on a cartoonish style, like karaks, NEVEr in realism [/b][/quote]

mink make it less pointy at the ends... like that N.. make it consistent widths throughout. and fuk colouring atm. seriously. just pencil it out loads and do millions of them for .. a solid week. then see if teh letters are any better. but do a million fast outlines.

it depends, lots of those ar ejust marker pen freestyles, so anywhere from 10-20 minutes, but it can be up to 30-40 when i take my time, havent done that in ages tho

Some doodles. Ignore the poorly done text on the word bible, my pencil broke, and i didnt feel like finding a new one. so i used stubs.

I like that 1st char. Maybe take out the random extensions in the back, and make sharper teeth? Up to you.

2nd char and the third ( the last pic. on the left) Im not fond of. Im kinda feeling the one on the right, but has to be cleaner and worked on more My 2 cents

Yeah, the last one was just a doodle. not really meant to be taken seriously. took me all of five minutes....

But the first one was hard to do. i couldnt decide whether it looked better with the extensions or not...

mm it works for you doesnt it....? im more bothered with getin it so that there are no mistsakes to show.

the face is ... a bit empty. the outline is pretty weak and so if you were tryin to obscure that fact u shuouldve added in a bit of detail, like shading or something, cos the outline itself .. well it doesnt have obvious character.. so doesnt really look like a jokes cartoon. it looks more like a failed realistic type job.... piece aint bad. the E is rough tho as is the A. the R and A are decent tho
