1) scrap colour, your wasting your time colouring shit, you need to get letter structure down.

2) start simple, dont try anything with arrows, or connecting your letters

3) i want your next sketch to look lik this:

Z O D I A K

plain, simple, letters, no bubbles, no squiggles, nothing.

4) get someone to teach you how to do simple 3D.

After youve done alll that. repost.

now start workin on makin them closer together but still simple and uniform
dont try adding style cuz its just gonna look wack at first
do tons of pages of that over and over and once u get used to your letters
you will start to realize what u need to do for style

and might i suggest finding a shorter name when ur a beginner?


anybody else have anything to add to that

There ya go. Now work on cleaning up those lines. Make them straighter and more crisp. If you have one use an ultra fine sharpie. And then do a bunch of basic blockbusters like that and eventually you will be able to change shit around. Study up on big writers and look at pieces from all over. Analyze them. Find out why the add ons were placed where they were and try to look past the add ons to see the actual structure of the letters and you will usually see where they were coming from. So yea just keep working on it.


EDIT *Also try to get rid of the pencil lines. They make it look bad.*

I used to write Beast.. I actually got pretty good at that.. (prolly why im struggling with this name.. plus it has all wierd letters that are hard to draw)

I didnt even get to tag out in too many public places till some asshat copied my name and tried to piece on a prison bus or soemthing.. so I cant ever use that name again.

It&#39;s ok. I like all but the M has three lines at the bottom and it seems to get skinnier and skinnier as it goes on. It&#39;s not bad though.

yeah, I know what you mean about the "S"...I&#39;m trying to figure out how to fit the "S" in there cuz comin off a straight from the "u" to the straight of the "A" is a bitch,but thanx...it took a while to sink in on the importance of simples,it became painfully obvious after that "123 klan" battle,and that is why I did the "BUff Monster" battle the way I did,simples on the buff and my wack ass wildstyle for The monster...to show an intended direction...I seem to be getting better responses on this "new" direction,thanx for all the criticism&#39;s I hope I&#39;m on the right path to becoming a fucking legend like my name implies...

on the "N" make the second leg extend lower than the first otherwise it looks like a lower case "R"

the "N" should be an inversion of the "U" or vice versa

yeh usually i can keep it the same size but when i realised it was gunna turn into a peice of shit i wasnt really bothered by the letter size, once i can get some half descent letters then ill worry about the size of em cause that part is easy.

diggin the first hue more...thicken it so it looks more like a bomb and less like a simple tag...
H is hot, U make the right arm a little shorter so the dots are beside the U. Basically the same idea as the H. The E&#39;s alright try to make it a little fatter like wide wise. And keep it flowing it looks wobbly.
