Alright, my last post before im gone for the summer, so i can settle this beef. It looks like a c (an ugly one ) and an f ( a decent one ) whatever it is, it doesnt flow with the rest of the letters, so for all you kids "telling him its a c like you know whats up" fuck off, cuz ya dont. The shit is an f, first and foremost, and i, nor he, gives a fuck if you think it looks "more like an c" because its his style, his work. I hate how half the kids here are trying to just impress other people. graffiti isnt all about shpwing how good you are, and frankly, none of us here are all that great. Its also about how much you appreciate the work yourself. All i see in this thread, with the exception of a few, are you kids all trying to achieve this "unified graff style" well fuck that, youll all look the same. My style may not be the best, some of you may hate it, but i could care less, i do it for me. So if thats his F, and he wants to work on that F, the rest of you can fuck off saying its a C, go sketch, put your fingers to better use.

And on that note, have one hell of a summer.

Sam... I wouldn&#39;t recomend taking much advice demo gives you.

The 3d on the &#39;S&#39; arrow doesn&#39;t match the main 3d.

Change the arrows at both sides to normal lines (I think it&#39;s look better that way)

I take it you havn&#39;t finished shading the 3d on the &#39;S&#39;?

Maybe move the C to the right a little more...


That&#39;s the only advice I can be bothered to type ATM.

ill start off by saying you have some pretty good drawing skills. your letters in the first few are pretty good too...its nice to see that your staying simple with straight letters and blockbusters. all of the "main" peices seem to be on the right track. on the last one, the throwups in the background could use some work. other than that, id say keep at it, cause you have some skill.

i like the first one the best btw.

WolfBurrns try to straightin the letters structure cause well....the crumble like letters dont look so good just straightin them out,and that glob on your first letter make it smaller or either get rid of it cause it kinda ruins it. Also widen your 3d.

yeah,but i&#39;d really like to master my simples,and to be honest i&#39;m not quite sure about how to put add ons..on...maybe bits and peices but i&#39;d prolly make it whac with arrows an all dat jazz.

JUST REMEMBER U ASKED FOR IT...

you seem to have the jist of it, but it does need a tad bit more work, maybe you should try taking off some of the extra doodads on your letters, unless ur creating a kind of style that incorperates the same kinda of flow into each letter then its best to try not to add to many extra things, keep it basic and straight to the point. For now id say practice on a bit of your letters, they are a bit bumpy and distorted, i dotn know wether u was riding the bus or what when u was inking this, but try to take your sweet time when inking, you can rush all you want when ur using pencil because its juss a ruff sketch but when your inking, that is ur FINAL part of the piece like it will be written in stone. so try not to ink unless ur absolutely sure that thats how u want ur piece to be. also u may want to actually try to make the letters about the same width and hieght to develop a type of form/letter depth, juss to create more badankydank to u piece. but besides all the things that i pointed out id like to say u will be on ur way in no time as long as u persue and be dedicated to graffiti, if ur not dedicated u mines well just quit.

Also quick lecture about line wieghts and how to use em to ur advantage..

lines closer to the pieces are heavier, lines further from the pieces are lighter.

lines closer to a lightsource are heaver/lighter, lines further from the lightsource are lighter/heaver (opposites). its always good sometimes to work with a light source...i sometimes do that from time to time if im doing a full out self production..

lines are erratic.

single line weight

line weights focus on specific details of an object, to draw attention to it.

but anyways thats all i hadda say other then, keep up the work, go back to the lab, eat some cookies, drink some milk, and post another one so we can see how you are improving. any other questions please feel free to PM me. :rolleyes:

dont use prismas yet

make all your letters the same size, dont overlap them like you did with the OKI, or if you do, make them overlap in the same way. dont angle your letters just yet, just make them simple, like C-O-O-K-I-E-S, just like that, block, simple, no doodads, no added shit, once you got that down, try more complicated shit. hope that helps.
