markers dont matter..there no point in spendin loads on markers..unless u know how to use them

your sketches..

-stay simple*block letters..once u can get them nice...start to try a few little different things with them..and so on..*
-try and get a nice handy*handstyle/tag*
-and try and get a nice throw up as well/a nice simple

of u dont know what any of them mean..look it up..

resizing images-go into microsfot paint. click the tool that is a sqaure with dashed lines. select your whole images within the lines and grab bottom right corner and pull in till you happy with size. THEN host it ;)

It&#39;s the most repeated critique in the toy thread. It&#39;s a mantra alot of people repeat faithfully without really knowing why, but it is a true essential. Go simple. Not simple graffitti even. Just simple lettering. You&#39;ve got lessons to learn by doing that boring shit first, repeatedly.You can&#39;t bust a wild letter succesfully, if you can&#39;t bust it regular first, and you can&#39;t bust it wild, without fully understanding it&#39;s normal range of motion, it&#39;s basic flow. From there, you gradually tweek it, bit by bit, over time, much later, you&#39;ll have a wildstyle, or better, a unique signature style of your own (favorite example- Runci).

I&#39;m no master wildstyler myself, but over time, I&#39;ve figured out some of what we&#39;re trying to achieve in here and why, and when the turnover of new members in here get&#39;s large, I try to help explain things I&#39;ve picked up so far, especially this, cuzz I think deep down, alot of people wonder why this is nessecary. That said, I doubt anyone will actually practice basic letters... :(

i may want to add in that the "love" peice isn&#39;t mine, its my friends
we did a collab. i just did the backround and the cheap emit simple. i dont really rock letters anymore, more into street art. so my style hasn&#39;t dveloped at all

Point still holds true for his friend. You can look at his letters and see how they were origionally straight up letters that eventually got some flavor kicked in. But the origional basics are still recognizable.

Yes actually, simple as in New Roman.... Sounds Boring doesn&#39;t it? Still want to bust some wild shit don&#39;t you? Although the piece has an overall nice feel, and I agree with Aga Trance that there&#39;s deffinately potential there, you can look at it and see you&#39;ve missed a couple steps in your evolution. The letters look pretty good when put together as an overall piece, but to make a truly fresh piece, each letter should be able to stand on it&#39;s own and look dope. Break these letters down and they&#39;re pretty rubbish. This style seems more like something you fell upon and it almost worked rather than something you developed. No hard feelings. It&#39;s just a helpful crit. Like I said, there IS potential there.

It&#39;s the most repeated critique in the toy thread. It&#39;s a mantra alot of people repeat faithfully without really knowing why, but it is a true essential. Go simple. Not simple graffitti even. Just simple lettering. You&#39;ve got lessons to learn by doing that boring shit first, repeatedly.You can&#39;t bust a wild letter succesfully, if you can&#39;t bust it regular first, and you can&#39;t bust it wild, without fully understanding it&#39;s normal range of motion, it&#39;s basic flow. From there, you gradually tweek it, bit by bit, over time, much later, you&#39;ll have a wildstyle, or better, a unique signature style of your own (favorite example- Runci).

I&#39;m no master wildstyler myself, but over time, I&#39;ve figured out some of what we&#39;re trying to achieve in here and why, and when the turnover of new members in here get&#39;s large, I try to help explain things I&#39;ve picked up so far, especially this, cuzz I think deep down, alot of people wonder why this is nessecary. Spuck i hate to say anything because there is like a 50% chance i can get flamed for criticizing anyone, BUT you should try and straighten your lines up and an easy way to do this with the pencil- is sketch lightly the line you want and when you are satisfied with it- go over it with a darker color. And- try and make everything have a sense of balance so it is more pleasing to look at... i think making your lines cleaner would accomplish this quite well...

This is really not good at all. Your letter structure isn&#39;t straight, your &#39;o&#39; and &#39;k&#39; are fucking and the &#39;l&#39; is looking on. The style is a mess and your thickness varies.
