Snakes: Work on your 3D man... to do proper 3D draw the same length line on every corner pointing the same direction. (See picture, red lines) and then connect those ends of the lines to gett the proper 3D look (Green lines). and then fill them. Also a word about letter structure, keep everything in proportion and symmetric, there is technique to making good letters... Take your O for example... one side is thick the other is thin, and the hole in the middle is way too big.

I think this looks really good. The only thing I could think of that would improve it in my opinion is if your lines that are forming the 3D aspect were straighter, like at the bottom. Other then that it looks great&#33;

I like to use acetate sheets (i think that&#39;s how you spell it). That clear overhead paper. It lasts FOREVER. Also when doing stencils you should really try to avoid that underspray, underspray is the spray paint that get&#39;s under the stencil and takes away the sharpness that a stencil should have. Make sure your stencil is pinned down properly, or use some spray adhesive.

To use spray adhesive, spray it on to the back of your stencil and then wait about 10 minutes until it get&#39;s really tacky, then stick it flat to whatever you&#39;re spraying, spray away, then remove your stencil. and you&#39;re good to go again.

most people just used like a plastic bag and if it&#39;s acetate and they stick, you can like rip them apart without worrying about wrecking them. those 4ft stencils are still paper/acetate but more then one peice of it at a time....or you can do it peice by peice, like just have a peice of paper with only part of the overall picture on it, and just like you know....use them.

I do&#39;nt pay for acetate. I got a STACK form a friend who got it from his dad&#39;s office, and i&#39;ve racked stuff from school, just walk into the supply room usually uinlocked and usually very private, the other day i got a can of apple red spray paint :D . and yea they were 8x10 but that worked fine for me, seeing as how i don&#39;t have access to a2 or a3 sized printers or paper for designing stuff.

as for transport, little files and folders work alright, duo-tangs, w/e also for larger stencils when you&#39;re going to use them, art tubes, you know those tubes used for carrying drawings without having to fold them.

EDIT - (i read your post wrong) Stencils that are like 4 feet high are probably just a2 sized stencils maybe a1. but for HUGE 8feetx10feet stencils, they&#39;re usually cut out of fabric and are hung from the wall then you spray and pack the fabric back up.

What type of fabric...i dunno, i saw a clip a long time ago, just seemed like a regular sheet to me. go to fabricland or whatever cloth shop is near you and ask for some scraps, then spray them and see which is least &#39;bleedy&#39;.

@funky monky - yea i feel much the same, all my pieces i do now are all blown up handstyle pieces, just make them a bit fatter tho, then they look more like regular pieces. I haven&#39;t experimented with extensions and arrows and stuff yet, but i don&#39;t think it would be too hard to add them on.

@Abztrakt - mixed feelings about the letters. i like the karak, it&#39;s supa fly. and then handstyles are dope. Especially the word &#39;bombing&#39;.

A few things you can improve:

1. On the throwie, make your letters the smae size.
2. On the tag, make it flow better. It looks like your "drawing" out each letter. Dont do that. Just write it as if you would a word normally. Also you should change that A. Having those two curves comming out the bottom just looks strange. Change that. That one on the very left is DOPE. And the S is pretty cool on the other ones.

dont add any dimension to your letters yet. work on making your lines parrealell and strait. once you can do this you will improveve very fast. also, it is best to start out with evenly spaced block letters, dont do anything fancy yet.
