well judging by that bx you hsouldnt advance from simples cause your simples arnt nice yet...try gettign a litte more flair into your simples and making them look well strucutred, check otu old school writers simples for ideas...theyre easy to come up with if ou understnad what your doing but i dont think you understnad yet

Myl- Letters- not so great, 3-D- missing on the random diagonal bar on the left side, overall shape and esthetic... it&#39;s fun to look at. Keep workin on it. You&#39;re deffinately on the right track.

Phaze- I&#39;d like to give a crit to you, but there&#39;s really not much to say about them excpet they&#39;re quite nice. You attempted three basic styles, and hit the mark on them pretty flawlessly except some missing 3d on the Z&#39;s tail. Pretty nice.

dont use those markers they suck <_<
use a fater marker so you dont have to go back and forth with it so much, and plus it looks choppy with a skinny marker

id make the shadow black

and id also bring the shadow closer to the words

your handstyle is fine, dont need to work on that :P

i cant give you any advice on the characters, your far better then me, but you need to go simpler on the letters. the shine is off, the fill sucks (sorry) and you shouldnt be worrying about colors right now anyway.

go simple, and black and white, keep ur letters the same size

like above every &#39;such and such&#39; line or something or is it something you just have to eyeball?

and when you guys add shine, do you just leave the &#39;shine lines&#39; blank or do you come back after with white?

you have to add the shine as if theres a flashlight pointing at it, meaning that if you add shine to one whole side of a letter, then you have to do the same to all the other letters to make it legit. also yes you can just leave gaps in the color to make it white but you can also use paint pens to go over already existing color ro make shine as well, such as deco, posterpaint, painters, etc.. hope this helped and heres an example of what i mean..done with white poster paint for shine, not sure if you can see it well tho....

sketching you leave it blank, painting you add white after

work on letter structure

loose the ghost t

make sure you have outline between the E and the M

add a shadow

make sure your outline is the same length from the word all the way around

do that and it will be straight :D

klipa - the letters are lacking that special "it" or X factor to have them be fresh. really sorry about the quality. i took it on my phone which was garbage and i had to put it in photoshop and raise the contrast and lower the saturation so you could see the general idea of it.

so on klipas advice, i kind of redid the pink one bigger, was a bitch, but i think it turned out aiight, definitely some things i see that i can improve on, like the letters shrinking a bit after the "O". the red stripe is a bit crooked but i couldnt fix it because if i made it bigger to straighten it, it would have overcome the letters. sadly, i can only ever seem to notice these things after i color.

so besides those things, crits please&#33;

ps. what do u think of the dark stripes in the letters, i dont have a blender yet, so i can only do overlay fills. just the first thing that came to mind. i should probably stop worrying about color so much and focus on the letters.

but a blender is a clear marker that you use to fade colors together, and yes there is a pesk

Cool stuff AV, glad you like it, I had fun doing it, letters I dont normally use.

Beef that fill is pretty whack and I&#39;d suggest going a lot simpler for now. Actually, maybe if you jsut worked on making your letters the same width thatd help a lot. Now that I look again your letters actually seem pretty good.

alive - heres a tip for ya. dont use the same color for your forcefield as you have in your 3d. if you do i suggest leaving a lil white space inbetweeen the peice and the forcefield .... (for the george skecth)


i was tempted to write "no i dont think not giving a you a crit is cheap. cheap is your mom on a weeknight after the bars let out..." or somethin like that but i dont know how welll you&#39;d take it and i dont know you so i play nice.. :D

Here is a new throwie i just drew up. I think the S is kinda fucked up but im not sure what to do with it. Also...the left side of the C looks kinda bad. haha u shoulda i woulda laughed, i didnt mean wut i said seriously u know, but looking back it mighta been hard for that to come through online. anywaysssss, i suck at color choice, but actually the forcefield is red and the 3d is orange. shitty picture adds to the confusion, but i my fault at heard, thanks tho.

GERK- its hot overall, but chop has a point, and the M could use some reworking

HOODY-i love it, but the letters should stay the same size and the tag dope is kinda played i think
