DISTORT-aiight man, btw, dont make every word cap, its annoying for everyone to read.
now, i want you to keep working at it. dont overlap your letters so much, for blockbuster style. keep all the strokes of your letters the same width. like the begining of the N is much narrower then the center. dont worry about the explanation mark. try to keep your lines a bit straighter, but i understand that can be hard. dont try to use any curves like in the P quite yet. keep everything straight. if you think itl help you can use a ruler, but be careful, you dont want to get stuck always needing one. practive drawing straight smooth bold lines. i would advice a straight A too. like an H with an extra bar on top if you know wut i mean. we need this style to be perfect before moving on.

LETTERS-you dont HAVE to know it all, but i feel like its becoming overlooked here. the history is important. people gotta learn the respect.

i like it man, work on making ur lines smoother. i like it a lot actually. i you should really go a bit simpler tho, the S is lacking some structure for example. u gotta keep the strokes of your letter the same width all the way through. your Q looks like an O, but thats hard to do.
but thats not a throw, thats a piece. throws are much simpler, like bubble letters.

only thing, i know the part of the Y is a little bit fatter than the other part...it came out like that for some reason when i outlined with marker.

Possibly a red or green forecefeild and try to bring out the letters a little more because the outline you have right now just kind of blends with the letters. Also what did you use on the stiff that isn&#39;t letters.

klipa - that has a nice consistent style, big props. think about tighting up that M, maybe movin in the left leg of the M in a lil and making it a bit longer so it shoots up a lil higher than the top part of the right leg of the M. maybe thin the 3d on the far right, clena up the bookend arrows ... ... i like it alot, the middle A and Ns are soo nice .....

when i first saw it loading on my screen half blurry i thought you did a blue 2 color true 3d letters and it was heart stopping. then when it came clear i saw you just did a normal kinda 2d letters like and almost everyone else does. so my advice is (since you had the letters so nicely proportionally coming at you which is hard to do) try a true 3d next time. on this canvas you might wanna try running a white highlight on the inside right of every letter/line to pop out the letters some more.

someone posted pictures of 3 different fonts one being the coca-cola word the other being x-men and the other being spawn, he wasnt a toy and he suggested just keep practicing them to get a feel and flow for drawing letters, i took his advice and have done the coca-cola one, so maybe try doing that

near, we are mearly trying to help, arrows can really normally only be used well by the big boys not the toys, and ur letters need to be same thickness and dont add to many things to the end of them, just give them enuff style so they look good, id much prefer block letters done well than a wildstyle done poorly (not that yours is wild) but id rather have a plain style done well than an insane style done poorly. not trying to pick just trying to help

Since when did you say that? All I hear is "keep doing blockletters... go simple.." from you. You took what I said out of context. I knew theres a certain progression to writing. But i&#39;ve been stuck in the blockletter mode for so long every attempt at something differant comes out like shit. With SKy5&#39;s help atleast I have an idea on where to start.

i used some cheap ass silver n red spraypaint and a pink dont to make the background. thought it looked dope, but then my fuckin prismas wouldnt show up on the paint. so i had to use a much darker color then i wanted and it still doesnt show up well. o well. i might have to do another piece b/c of this.

did you try to spray paint on paper then try to put marker over top? cuz that wont work ... i tried spray paint on a page in my blackbook once. i did my piece then ripped pieces of paper to cover the piece, taped the outside (so piece is covered and wont be sprayed on) then i sprayed the page trying to get the can to flood so i could get some nice fat drips . . . so advice #1 is start over with the way i tried or get yourself some paint markers (u can do soo much more w/ paint markers over reg markers)

as for the letters . .. . i dont know . .. not really my style (kinda plain) but it might look better if the letters were more snug together maybe with each letter at a lil bit of an angle (first letter slants NW, next letter slants NE, next letter slants NW, etc .. . ) .. im just tryin to think of ways to get yoour letters to interact more (and yeah i know you havent put a 3d in yet but you still have too much room inbetween each) ... if you wnat i can pm you a quick sketch when i get home showing you what i mean .... alot of times when i sketch i just stop and stare at where i am and where i want to go with it (every 10 mins)

do you see the lil shoot off on the bottom left leg of your M, repeate that throughout the peice, maybe try it at the bottom of the right leg of your Ns .. . pinch the the middle part of the M a lil more to have a more dynamic letter . . . . and the letters progressively get smaller, when your skecth with a pencil dont accept that shit, erase and try again . . .

thats exactly what i tried to do. i had never done it before, just kind of an impulse thing. ill try the taping idea. i didnt really notice about the shrinking until u pointed it out, but now i see it pretty clearly. the letters are kinda plain, but thats mostly my level, i can sometimes pull off nicer things, but not with all letters. ill try something more complex tho. as for the "shoot" off the M, i did it at the end, to try to counter the extention on the last A. ill try pinching the M a bit more too. so later tonight ill try to put up another attempt thats more "dynamic. thanks so much.
