i appreciate the feedback. I tend to make my characters evilish although i can make them good-ish if i wanted. I just like the evil look more. Its probably pretty apparent, but ive had a lifetime of experience drawing characters as compared to drawing pieces, which ive only had a few months experience. anyway, ill get up some more characters and pieces later.

The sketch is done really lightly I had to play with contrast in photoshop to be able to see pencil lines so I know the lines arent the same thickness.

But your pieces are actually horrible, Go to block letters, loose the wildstyle, and forget about arrows for now. That&#39;s where you&#39;ll progress from.

Worked on my blockbuster lettering for a week or two now, getting more consistent with every day. But let&#39;s face it, block letters are boring. So I elaborated on my bunny sketch with acrylics (possible charac, once I get my can control):

i dont think this sketch would look as bad if u took all the arrows off and make the "R" the same size/width and the rest of the piece take out all the add ons and that out the "ONE"

the dry sketch looks better than the finished product. Think about incorporating the letters into one another more than simple overlaps; make the word a cohesive image rather than individual letters, y&#39;know.
Try to ease up on all the nooks and crannies, too.

And your the only one that thought it was a shadow I think its pretty apparent its 3d. now neer, keep the strokes of all of your letters the same width. ill draw u up a blockbuster a little later to show u what i think u should try. mess with it, make the letters look like the ones your typing on. and dont dismiss that. look at the keyboard and compare it to your N and R especially.

Don&#39;t want to toot my own horn, but it helps. Of course it&#39;s about as stimulating as watching paint dry, but don&#39;t run before you can walk before you can crawl.

Don&#39;t get me wrong though, I&#39;m still in the toybox, too.

sit down to your sketch with a ruler and protractor at first. Measure out a consistent shadow until you can it intuitively.

Meek2- Work on your structure by trying to make your letters even in width and dont try anything fancy just yet. Nothing wrong with a normal "K". Space out your letters a bit and work on doing simple blockletters.

Your S doesn&#39;t match the other letters at all the problem with it is:
M is nice and wide
E looses some width
S goes really thin
O goes abit wide again
and are the letters meant to shrink as they go on?

But on a good point the fill and outine goes together well and 3D is done right.
