Looks good at first glance, but when looking closer I see alot of flaws. Alot of it isnt consistent in width and your angles are off. Dont get me wrong, Its very complicated and I shouldnt expect it to be perfect but it's a very good start on a very unique style.

Thanks, when I went over and traced the lines I did use my wrist so that explains the shitty looking lines. I'll try to make it a bit more clean though, thanks for the crits.

Yeah, I said I wasnt gonna touch my notebook for a few days.. I went about a half a day. I used a silver paint marker on the 3d and smudged it to get a fade. It went over some of the outline and when I took the pic it showed through the black. Oh well.

bowser - the black shading is the best thing you got going for you so do the black shade for the 3d inbetween the letters as well . . . . but you need to get the basics down first . . .simples . .. try to draw keyboard letters keepin the line width proportional through out ... then some people wont agree with this but trace and copy pics of good simple graf, studying what makes a good pic work, repeating certain pencil strokes, curves angles .. . eventually youll develop your own style and its off to the races . . . and no i havent bit anyone in years (except my boy relek who got raided on) . . .

Blending sketching markers like prismas or touch twins is a crap load easier than paint markers and it doesn&#39;t work that well as far as I&#39;ve seen, but go ahead and try it.

man I have done the tracing thing and such but the only reason I&#39;m pumped about these letters is because I made them up and it&#39;s prolly one of the best sketches I&#39;ve done yet, I&#39;m gonna keep working on perfecting these letters though.

Actually, arrangements are underway. I&#39;ve done some fine tuning to the concept of the thread and I&#39;m using sky5&#39;s as the first guest presenter. He&#39;ll be doing a dope step by step pictorial of the basics to the bar method. I&#39;m also inviting other guest speakers from the big boy forums to present advice, tips and methods. Look for it soon. ;)

i would strongly advise against throwing any of those up anywheres, i cant really think of any specific advice except to study the work of your elders. look at painted throwie thread here and just some of the threads in the picture forum. Dont bite anything, but try to get an idea of the general feel of a good throwie

Yes, I&#39;d say you&#39;re bordering the crossover. You&#39;re still falling a bit short, but you&#39;ve got a pretty good handle on things. I think time and practice will sort the rest out for you. The Aske is quite good. You&#39;re on your way. ;)

bowser, its deffnintily improving. I would recomend some of the lines to be more curved. Not really rounded off, but just slightly curved so its not all hard straight cut corners.

the only thing i dont really like is how small the middle part of the M is.

i wish for once my fucking camera could pick up the right colors. the fade goes from apple green to a tinted jade green, and it looks a lot smoother irl, im pretty happy with it but my fucking camera can never get colors right.
