If you take away the colour and look at your inner structure its very inconsistant,
I know you can do a basic straight letter but you just gotta take the solid inner letter posture and lean and watch the random extentions.

not too bad emba... gotta lose those arrows, or make them come out of a letter instead of nowhere... ur concept of 3d is still in need of some work too, the pic that i dissected for u before was pretty much the same piece, and u pretty much need to work on the same spots i circled, the inside of every letter have 3d that looks awkward because it doesnt line up with the bars in the letter, a solid 3d will make this piece look wayyyy better... also the swirlies are kinda sloppy, i know u tried to shade it but they just dont flow...
keep painting though man, looks like a chill spot with the couch and all lol... get that practice, use cheap cans..... looks like some dope shit all around u too, hope u didnt go over someone :-/

emba, you should have tried to keep style consistent,bottom connections dont really help...as zook said, leave away the arrows, massive connectiions go a lil simpler and concentrate on spacing size n consistancy.

Some nice crits there. First off, its not really a hall of fame, most of the stuff there is below my standard. The character was painted at the same time as mine.

Ill try and work on those arrows, and connections. need to find a way to create more flow in them. And yeah I really need to sort out the 3D. I like the shaded effect, so Im not sure if a solid 3D will make it look too cartoon like?

Or did you mean solid as in width and size?

As for the swirlies. Well i let myself down there. They will be changed :D

If someone drew a stick figure with a fill and stroke, and the can control looked nice but it looked all wiggly and shit, I'd say that was one piece of shit character.

I shouldn't have to guess if that's how the writer intended it. If that's how they intended it, then good for them. But if it isn't, and they just straight suck and can't do it any better, then they need to get better.

Why compare to people on the internet? Compare to people in real life, where the scale is much more large than just a toy forum on a website.

This is truely funny because your serious. Homie not trying to disrespect you or anything but your gonna have a hard time getting better if you have an attitude like this, I can sense by the way you type you got an ego and thats fine, but reality check yourself man..... I'm gonna be straight up to you because I dont know you and I have an unbiased opinion about your shit.


You do have goon can control and access to colours but you need to work in a book to advance your letter styles. Extentions, Colour, Spots and Cleanliness isent what make the peice, they just add to it (as well as take away from it). The only way I can't really explain it but its that point in writing where you are a toy and you know what good graffiti looks liek but you just cant do it. Thats the turning point from "toy" to writer to an intermediate writer when you can successfully identify shit like that.
I cant stress how important in having a SOLID base style and working from that is man, You've said "I did that shit fast in an hour" and I see alot of people on this forum hiding behind excuses on there shit, (myself included) I'm pretty shure flawless victory said it but "noones gonne know that kinda shit when they walk past it." Ontop of that an hour is a fuckload of time to paint a peice, Unless your doing a full colourd mural or an intense wild style I cant see anything taking an hour or longer, Peices arent like a fine wine, you could spend 15 hours at a wall that shit aint gonna get any better over time. I know all this shit your probably not gonna listen to because "your the man, you got ups, youve done heavens, got in the paper and shit" but man I'm just doing this to help the other dudes on this site progress and shit.

Kew, you gotta' get your letters proportionate. You really need to try a light fill with a dark 3D. Apparently you love dark colors, but the light to dark is easier for the brain to see lines and interpret dimension. The 'W' is kind of lacking the same flow as the other letters, maybe because it's cramped. Go easy on your highlights in your 3D. It's a little over the top and ruins it. Not to mention it takes focus away from your letters. You want peoples eyes to go to your letters, not your 3D. Unless you're into some serious high level abstract shit where you just use like one color.

The fill's not bad man, but the letters are hurting man. Your 3D is inconsistent, and the white lines in them are more random then consistent. How about instead of me telling you to do simples.. I tell you to fix those letters? That K sticks out to me, and the W for sure. You can decide on the rest. That bottom line of drips, I like. I use that sometimes too. Not sure what else to say.

lose the arrow I's and squash ur letters all together, try writing each letter it same and in the same style. and I get the name but it's a little redundant. like IS...IS it's a little weird. I dunno, it's okay but it will take a lot of work to make that word work. i would A) stop painting B) start drawing C) create an OG font AND TRACE a ton of other fonts. That 'G' is kinda' weird in the top one. But is the bottom bar supposed to be big cause it's like a face? The green two piece is pretty clean. Hard lines with consistence widths. The fill is raw and the cuts on the low lights look good. The piece is by far the best of the three. Looks like you still got some work to do on that 3D? I've got a good feeling about the finished product.

This community if fucked beyond belief. I like graf, but you are all making me want to just go do shitty graf just to piss you off. When you critique someone it is often best to offer some sort of advice, or at least some sort of moderately coherent statement about your dislikes, instead this community just gives useless fucking tidbits of their own internet genius. Is deff a no no, by tagging the front of a yard, that's the niggest heat up I've ever heard, that just causes attentionl which causes more security to watch the yards, and no one claims yards, a yard is open to every writer, that the fun part if you goto the yard and run into a fellow rival crew, or person you guys duke it out, and going over a piece because its old? That's a deffinate no, I personally have homies who've painted freights and caught them back at a diff yard on the other side of town two years later, they just re touch it. And bums? First off, it doesn't look like there was any reason for you to throw up over the piece behind yours. It's obviously of a higher skill level.

Second, that 'F' is lame'.

Third, the 'E' is hurtin'. Could be mistaken' for an 'S'. But judging from your actual 'S' at the beginning of the throw, you can't produce an 'S' that wild. Cool concept though.

@Black: Nah yo, i agree with TheToy. your shit is sloppy, especially that A, looks like it had a stroke. the R is gay, and i think you should take it off all together, because it seems a little excessive, seeing as how you write SAFE.
Now, i know that adding an R is merely an extension, but i think it would be a waste of paint to pull off some shit like that for an extra letter.
oh, and if you decide to take off the R next time, i'd try mimicking the the think that looks like a big lip on the S, and add it to the E accordingly to balance out the throw y'know?

As far as things being dissed out, if kids get at a piece it becomes fair game where I come from. Unless it's a real burner.. which looking at what's left of it, it wasn't. Good perhaps, but not a burner. I've covered shit that's had dicks and shit on it, or "I love so and so" for the simple fact that it makes it look like shit. Having respect for that writer.. it should be covered, rather then having some faggot shit all over it. As for going over dissed shit, you should be a judge on how crazy the peice is and how bad the diss was. if its a small tag on the peice then let it run EXAMPLE.
