YUK...thats not good man. Your hollow lines are REALLY sketchy. The letters are inconsistant. You have no grasp on the concept of a drop shadow. I like the U...but the Y and the K especially are TERRIBLE. Sketch more before you paint and keep it in the chill spots. And SCUZ...you are an embarassment to graffiti. Dont pick up a can of paint for another six months.

i fianlly go to get daytime flicks of the wall we did and my EPIC is gone over with red hmm yeah well at least the gorilla i did didnt get fucked up it was one of my first caracters beside the kirby i did a wile back the red kinda fucked up the top of ma gorillas hair but its all gravy.

first of all you shouldnt be painting at all

you need to be sketching still

ive been sketching for a year or so now and ive only painted a handful of times around the time i started...i havent painted anything in about 3 or 4 months now

straight sketching, thats what you have to do first

do simple letters for a few weeks until you get the flow of them down, then progress into bending the letters

nah, those arnt good man. The letters are terribly basic and noticeably inconsistant between these two throws. Work on your own style. The fill is bad, the outline inconsistant on the first one, the drop shadow is off and filled poorly, and the handstyle pretty basic as well. Don&#39;t paint on noticeable areas like these. Hang out in chill spots painting. Practice in your sketchbook first and foremost. These arnt good.

No NOMX...he shouldn&#39;t "go for it." Hes not ready. If you are gonig to be risking it and going for heated spots you want to be throwing up something good...not something like that and wasting a perfectly good spot. And yes "sketching in a fucking book" will help him. It will help alot more than painting at the stage he is at. And its not 3d...its a drop shadow. Getting help in the toys forum can definatly be counterproductive when recieving poor advice. Toys helping toys usually doesnt lead very good results. Pretty evident...

Elcs, chill, the only way to learn how to paint better is to actually go and paint, and if he&#39;s going to be painting why not use your paint in a better spot than under a bridge so you&#39;re not wasting it. Oh and sketching will help your style, but if you have lousy can control, your style won&#39;t show through, so I think you have to have some kindof middle point between sketching and practicing with paint.

ya you get runs....markers bleed...but you do have a point...but i think all that is trying to get across is draw up some better shit because tat shits wack even if it did have good can control...

pigo? make the o the same size as the other letters, and the o should be the same style as the pig as well, it looks like "pig" and then an egg or something. get rid of the little extension bar-things, and work on your 3d. and your handstyle. also, if you want cracks in your letters (like in the o), the crack should be thinner.

Drips all over... the 3d is messed up in lots of places, but mostly at the bottom of the KN on the addons. It needs some definition because i can&#39;t tell if you were just trying to put on thick outlines or your 3d was everywhere.... no offense.

BAAAH&#33;&#33;.... C&#39;mon kids.. Get off the high horse. You know Tricks deserves some love. It&#39;s may not be perfect, but it&#39;s better then 95% of the shit posted in toy bombs thread. Plus Tricks is in here almost everyday helping cats out, giving advice, and dropping some very ill styles. We&#39;re lucky we got him in here. Now he posts a painted flick and everybody wants to get all nittpicky. I can respect some of the finer points of critisism like drips and such, but you gotta give the man a hand. Drips all over... the 3d is messed up in lots of places, but mostly at the bottom of the KN on the addons. It needs some definition because i can&#39;t tell if you were just trying to put on thick outlines or your 3d was everywhere.... no offense.

word tricks...im sure many of you artists on here have posted something up and been told that it sucks, i kno i have...and it really does hurt. no one likes being told that their art sucks. but also to tell an artist like tricks that his work sucks...is just nonsense. as i said before it is a sloppy and you need to work on your can control...but it also has great letter structure and flow. great graffiti is not all about can control. i have seen several peices with no drips what so ever, and a clean outline...but have no letter structure at all. if you ask me, i would so much rather look at a peice with extreme potential that just needs to be cleaned up...rather than a perfectly clean peice with no freakin structure or skill. keep on workin tricks...you can only improve seeing as all you needa work on is cleaning up the peice. i love your work by the way. peace.
