Yea, you might wanna work on the crooked thin.
and for colors....id say silver/white over black, or like a yellow fill with a black outline.
go with colors that are opposite.
think of contrast and if ur doin a light color over dark, make sure ur light color is a good brand of paint and really dense.

lovebug-try working on your throw a bit more, it needs to be a little more than just bubble letters, try getting it to flow a bit more.

I don't think so. I used Krylon for the black and yellow and Montana for the pink. The only cheap shit [ACE brand] I used was the purple-ish color for the wings because I couldn't find Krylon's Gumdrop color anywhere local.

melo - use bars to make your letters..not just bubbly things. also your highlights dont make since..keep them all to one side of the letters.

why hasn't anyone told lovebug that that shit is terrible..well there it is since no one else will. i would say dont even bother painting for at least 6 months..just because your a girl doesn't mean its ok to suck(assuming your a girl)

critsssssstry to put less pressure cap so u dont drip as much on the out line. also leave ur 3d one colour for now cause it will be easyer and will lokk better. it also would have looked better if u just faded two clours to gether than doing thos bubbles in ur fill.

Mist i like that throw, but I WOULD use the "i" instead of the one ur using, and I WOULD use the bubble letter jus cuz of ease, especially for that purpose aniways.

Renak, yea the i like the colour scheme u got, but the way you use it i think is killing ur piece. for ex: thick outline of green and orange fill(thinner outline is better?). Oh, n one more thing! DO NOT DO OUTLINES UNTIL UR DONE ALL THE EFFECTS!!!

Teez i dun no if ur cans wr running out, but rack better cans for god's sake...I love ur letters by the way, they're tight. I dun like ur first one tho for some reason

first time with monster, i love it. forgot to flick chrome u can see it in background, it comes out so fat with monster and a pink dot

Cheers for that. I've got someone with a lot of experience guiding me and since doing it I've been doing nothing but working on my letters on paper, over and over.

I'm looking to keep things basic and real simple gonna build it all up gradually.

Next time I go out to a legal while my guy is working his magic I was thinking of just practicing my staright lines and curves with a can...would this be a good idea? I wanna be able to get my lines real sharp for my next piece.

Yeah, the day I did it I was adamant I was just gonna watch but I couldn't help myself...so didn't bring my sketch, just did out of my head...which is clearly as messed as as my letters hahaha.

S-I-M-P-L-E-S. stay off the mr wiggles/generic graffiti fonts and learn this like u learned to write letters in kindergarden.

Jet- im impressed, if that really means anything, looks like u took your time with that and it shows, maybe thicken up your letters a bit, the metal style works for some but its hard to pull off. when your laying down your outline dont worry about over lapping lines, make it as even thickness as u can, cus your fill is gunna cover all of the line marks. curves are had to make look clean. so try to get as little curves as u can.

Hey dear. Isn't your D & E a little small in comparison to your A and R? Also what angle were you going for for your 3D? I'm just trying to get my head around my 3D's at the mo, so not a crit just want to know as I'm not sure what angle you're working with.

Check my piece on the page before this, a highlight can really make the letters stand out. Also I got told to let my clouds drop over my leters to make it a bit more fluid. Keep it up though. And I've only done one piece and just started my sketching so I'm very far from being an expert in these things.

yo, the drips on your hand may be because the periods your spraying are too long. fill it up a bit, ease off the cap, get back into it. thats how i stopped getting drips on my hands. looks good

ok, ill Crit because im nice :D
First, I know your problem with the A is annouying as hell, first clean it up a bit, put the "legs" of the A closer togeather and try and not get the "slopehole" i call in for the whole in the top. try lines, and other thins to make your A look better, i findHigh case A's to be harder than lower case for throwups.
Next, is that an N? if so clean it up a bit also move the lower line to the left a bit and make it more defined.
Again, The O's need to be more defined and more curved. if there not O' i apoligize >.>
The M looks pritty good exept make the under part of the M lines a little longer and defined.
Lovin' that L exept, as always can control.
Last but not least, Your Y. I used to do the same thing as you, when you first do your outline for your throwup/peice make shure to do the full out line of every letter first, not just one. I say this because i see the uneven Lower peice of the Y wich tells me you didnt do the outline first. :D:D:D
other than that its a good throwup :D

yeah, i find NY thins fucking suck for getting close to the wall. its got that slit spray on it. get a yellow dot (banana skinny, i think there called) those work well.

in my opinion the intendional drips just makes it look sloppy. keep it clean and simple until you get better can control. Then revisit the "using drips as part of the style" concept. no hate or anything, just work on the basics first. gotta walk before you run.

haha dude, i could get thin lines with no drips using a pink dot.i just do sloppy throws cause thats what i like, i ussually enver get unintentional drips.and the scene is alright down here, theirs not to many writers, only like 20 that actually get up.
