Too much dead space between the E and the S, they need to come in closer, and the top bar of the E could be longer, to help close it in. I wouldnt really bother colouring it, just draw up another 100 pencil outlines, and tweak something different each time.. only way to improve, rather than wasting time making it look pretty.

.. I have ten markers. And there really shitty, the colors themselves are similiar gross and you can make good combinations with them. Trust me, If I had good markers Id be able to do the fills im thinking off doing. But for now I dont have markers..

jose -dont do the bottom left one again. the others are nice except id skinny down the P, which is the only god thing about the bottom left one. and maybe put a different type of "eye" in it too. edit: well i guess the main thing i dont like about the B-L one is the E. the rest is fine. alts -gnarly killer as usual. you should "cell shade" the bottom one, or some type of in-you-face bold colour style it.

initially i was just going to do a simple fill to see if my sketch pad absorbed ink as well as my actually ink paper stuff. (which it doesnt). but i got a little over stoked. pink inner fill is a bad idea in retrospect. since i didnt overlap very well.

That 's' in 'LEWS' is fine without the loop. I rock it in some of my throws, I close the cutout section a little more like a circle, if ya follow. That'd be a dece throw with consistent height. The dub in it works, used similar as well. I usually go with lower case 'e's with those style though.


EMEK, space those out 'cause the 'E' covers too much of the following letter, or maybe put the bottom of the downstrokes over the 'E'. Change up the middle point in your 'm'. lose the bit following the 'k'. The bit attached to the top of the 'm' is a little distracting. Overall though, potential for a nice simple.

That RESK has a nice 'R' and 'K', the 'S' needs fixing, but it's not without potential, but if you do a lower case 'e', you'll probably have to scrap that 's'. Personally I'd throw a lower case 'e' after that 'R', if you imagine the curve continuing around, you should see how it'd look.

Most of you bar out a peice and then just proceed to do what you've seen done b4. This gets you stuck with the same outlines this make your letters generic. do simples until you understand letters do em till it becomes 2nd nature. Then working a style you like or would like to call your own s up to you. Slow down, learn to crawl, learn to walk, then walk for a while till you get bored, then jog till your outta breathe, then run. It takes time to work a style it takes time for your letters to become "yours". Don't rush it cuz it WILL show. Take it for what you will.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. the point of doing simple and working your letters is so you learn structure and then can establish your own funk. Most of you bar out a peice and then just proceed to do what you've seen done b4. This gets you stuck with the same outlines this make your letters generic. do simples until you understand letters do em till it becomes 2nd nature. Then working a style you like or would like to call your own s up to you. Slow down, learn to crawl, learn to walk, then walk for a while till you get bored, then jog till your outta breathe, then run. It takes time to work a style it takes time for your letters to become "yours". Don't rush it cuz it WILL show. Take it for what you will.

couple of exchanges, Osean and Geso

your E's look like Z's to me, especially on the bottom one. Try leaving more space inbetween the top 2 bars on the E to show that there are actually 2 bars there and not one cuz your style is wild enough that those lines could just be an extension and not an actual part of the letter.
And the N kinda looks like an H to me, but thats just me, structuraly theres nothing wrong with it, just the way i see it.

alts- work on your N's they look mad weird,if i were you i would make a st8 bar connecting the 2 other ones
and your E's look a bit like Z's(not much) connect the whole thing instead of seperating the top ,your O's are dope though

youve got to be joking.... have you seen the toy thread lately? im definately in the right spot. plus ive posted here since before you were a member and no one said i was in the wrong spot. just because my style doesnt appeal to you doesnt mean im bad. im not great but id say im intermediate. and me and blue are not the same person. different sides of the country we just like the same styles and draw the same. weve always like each others stuff. got special thing goin...;)
