no need to worry about the time of your sketch.. it isnt important., ive done sketches that took me about 4 or 5 hours (over about a week) dont trip off how fast you are... get your style down, add a few extensions or do whatever, once you feel comfortable and confident then you can try and improve your speed but its just a sketch, speed isnt important

I agree with Dudeman, don't worry abou time when it comes to sketching, I generally rough out an outline real quick but then spend time refining it otherwise it comes out looking sloppy like the last one I posted

only thing I would say is work on the first letter more is it an E?

just keep painting. more practice = better can control and lettter proportions when translating onto a wall. i get the feeling that you do A LOT of bb work, but hardly paint, right? the fastest way to progress is to balance your time in ur book and ur time on a wall

yea I do a hell of a lot of blackbook work, I don't get to paint as much because I have responsibilities (son, wife, work etc) so really only wanna do legal walls with the occasional bit of bombing and there are no legal walls near me so don't get the chance to paint much, although I'm currently in the process of getting a legal wall set up where I live

generally in the past the stuff I have done where I can actually spend sometime on comes out clean but with throws its not like you give it a second thought to cleaning it up etc because well it is just a throw lol

Upstate - Lookin' good. I'd really like to see it with some 3D and color. Like that abstract, out of the box style.

Abor - That throw is pretty tight. It's got some flow.

MantS - Keep up the good work. I love Euro style. I like the fourth one down. I'd like to see that on the side of one of them fancy passenger trains you got down under.

Alts - I found a huge roll of canvas in a sailmakers lot. Look around your local area. Check local printers/dyers. Makes for a quick practice wall. Just gotta' build a light frame from 2x3's. You can make it to withstand the elements outside, or make a few smaller panels to bring in during the winter. I found it to be cheaper than plywood. Just another possibility.

In the second, third and fourth you make a lot of triangles in the negative space (most likely unconsciously). In the fourth you have those two points on the bottom of the H and R. Use those. Your balance of lots of letter and lots of space really contributes to your style.

note to those who think its too simple looking or bubbly: my throws will NEVER be too fancy or it will no longer be quick enough to be used as a throw, this one takes between 5 and 10 seconds hence all the overlapping of lines and overall sloppyness

I've never had an Orange Dot/German Fat clog.

I've had some GO2's that get a little spitty and irregular. But I guess that's what 100packs are for.

Alts - What brand of black was it? I looked back a couple pages but couldn't find anything. I might have overlooked it.

best way to keep shit from clogging is either using a fatter cap and lowering the cans pressure to get a thinner line, or flipping the can over and spraying upside down from time to time as your painting. also keep an eye on the actuall shit accumilating on the cap

I tried flipping the can upside down and it clears it for a line then reclogged again, never had this problem with any other paint, they were fresh caps as well never used before

I had a can of Molotow clog up with silicone once. I banged it on the ground and let it sit overnight. It was fine the next day. Never happened before.

the A and I aren't connected, i just ran the bottom bar of the I underneath all the letters. And jupsick, idk how the letters i did arent simple. no beef but if anything i think youre the one that should tone it down a bit

UpstateHate585 ~ no beef but that is horrible, in fact i dont think i have ever seen you sketch anything decent. loose all the arrows, loose the crown and the scroll, make all your letters the same size and keep the piece balanced, and use some damn bars they will help you out a lot. keep all your bars the same width and all that jazz, im not about to type out the new to graff thread to you but it looks like you might need to read it.

Yeah it's a pain, I try not to use it anymore. Try shaking the can like fuck before using it, like a good 10 minutes.. or put it in the freezer (?) for half hour, I think it does summut to the gas inside and makes the paint flow better. Might be the other way around though.

They should release some caps just for that range really, otherwise they're gonna lose a lot of business, 'speshly with 94 and illuminarty being better for less.

Although they've made it a bit better recently with the silver cans instead of the old black ones, I heard the paint is a touch thinner. Still a pretty shit brand though.

that's either an R or an E. if it's an E, that rear extension gotta go, and if it's an R, the front leg looks weird with so many bends. you'd probably get more help in the toy thread

I think you're jumping Into a style that you don't fully understand. All those extensions may look prety but at what cost? You completely lost every single letter

you don't have time for a piece? c'mon... that last one took at MOST 1.5 hrs, and thats being generous.
...and my paint didnt cost a dime, neither should yours.

I think its more of money thing. My money goes to weed and cigs most the time, and I dont have a job so I dont have the extra money for paint. Also not to mention here we have shit paint. I live in a small city compared to big ones. But we dont get shipments of montana or belton. I wish we did, because this summer I would of done alot more pieces then throws.
Its not that im choosing not to paint pieces, its because I cant it.
(The reason why I do throwups alot is because racking cheap cans is better then buying good cans for pieces atm)

Also as for my stuff being the same, Yes ive noticed its repeatitive but its hard to come up with fresh new ideas every time. Ive tried making new letters but it doesnt come out as good as my other ones. I got some new ideas for the next sketch I do, but all it will be is different letters.

(sorry for the long as sentence ;P had to explain that)

All I use is rusto and occasionally valspar. If you got walmart or home depot or lowes you're all set, racking is mad easy. I've never used belton Montana or ironlak
