Practice makes better, so I guess I'm off to practice some more. I have waay more detailed characters, but I can't get those pics off my other laptop right now. my ideas for fills come rom pretty much everything I see, I spend a lot of time on a different forum and look at shitloads of graffiti, I get ideas from clothing or designs literally anything, just keep experimenting, some stuff will look awful but the better you get the more it will lok clean and work together.

Sometimes I just take 4 or 5 colours and see what I can do with them, limiting yourself like that is cool rather than having all 60 or 70 markers there to play with, makes you think differently about your fills

I can agree that your either a toy or your ont but atleast this thread seperates the complete toys from the more advanced ones.... Like i can admit that some tiems i can sketch some shit thats whack as fuck thats deffinatly toy but some can come out really nice. Some people like Alts and Seyo can hold down a verry simmilar style all the time but i like to switch shit up all the time i take tons of my inspiratinos from TV letterings poster letterings computer fonts like alts said he gets some of his fill ideas from t shirts and clothings i sometimes do the same. I try my hardest to be original but sometimes you can bite and not even realize.

Anyways i dont think you can tear alts away from this thread. I deffinatly think he should toss some of his best up in the other threads.

Im doing a legal soon so ill post up my sketch and pictures of me painting. They got the montana and belton order in. Gonna be good times :D

right, I will be constructive, the way your gonna progress is by building your letters with bars, because at the moment you are lacking that fundamental structure which is what you need before you can elaborate. On your alphabet you have those little swirl things, drop them they don't work. Don't even think about connecting your letters or using any extensions, you will ALWAYS get more respect from writers for a well executed simple hands down over any half attempted piece, believe me I have blackbooks filled with just simples and if you wanna get better go back to the basics.

Personally I have been interested in graf since I was about 11/12, I didn't always draw/paint but have always been into it, that is roughly 20 years, I have only really started sketching in the last 2 and I painted for a few years about a decade ago. I don't mind being helpful if people listen!!

Christmas is coming and I need to stock up on supplys.

Good touch twin markers.
Paint markers/mops.
Inks.
Paint and tips.
When it comes to markers for the streets I dont know my shit.
What type markers do you sugjest I get that are good?

I like squeezy markers like the Krink ones , in the past have used Krink or Grog they were ok for drippy tags, Nero was OK but my mop exploded with that in. Junobo sytle markers look good too but havent used them myelf but have seen junobo tags and they look nice. Basically something with a nice fat head and squeezable. Things like Molotow paint pens are good for canvas work but not tagging. I prefer Ink for tagging over paint. paint tends to streak more and ink just goes on clean.

I need some new markers all my prismas are dying but I think my wife will hook me up with a set of touch twins at Christmas

SNOE, not a huge fan of blocky styles, but that's just me. Second one looks alright to me though

STFUPPERCUT: I think there mgiht be a bit much going on with the outline, especially on the M in the second one, but maybe that's just your style.

.od.: Not gonna lie, it's a lot cleaner than my 3rd time. I don't really have any idea what the middle letters are though. Learning to cut lines will go a LONG way towards cleaning up your painting.

RESP: Not feeling this one. Especally the R, simpler than the rest.

Cocacola, you stuff reminds me a little bit of Eskimo2's old stuff. Not calling out a bite at all. Just happened to notice. I like the B in the second one.

Finished that legal shit. Again, I didn't pick the word or theme, so whatever. If theyre paying for paint, I'll paint all the flowers and doves that they want. they mounted the second panel lower than original too, so the E is lower than the rest now. Crits?

I have painted a couple of times this year but nothing I'm happy with mainly shitty bombing, have had a lot of stuff going on in personal life this year so no time to paint, but starting new job soon and am gonna have regular days off (when my wife is at work and son at school) so I will be able to go hit some chill/legal walls and actually start piecing, so next year is my painting year!!

I can't really think of a way to perfectly describe stucture.
The best way I could think would be to say That you are trying to keep your letter looking like the letter it's supposed to be.
Good structure would be that even thought the style is intricate as fuck, it's still obviously a particular word..

I write Earn, by the way.

Freek - That L looks very simmiler to smalls/miles L and you might get some flack for that. It just bends very simmiler to his ine, Other then that its looking good and maybe bring them closer together

and i like where your style is going seyo, the the character is ruining it for me along with the colouring. structurally i like your letters, only thing im not feeling about it is the execution of the grimey style cuts in your bars and the fact that your extensions connect to your letters but the bars making up each letter individually do not connect to one another
