Bets - Mate, the point of entering the battle is to see what people think, and to recieve crits that way. You shouldn't be pre-posting. All you do is give anyone else entering a chance to see what you're doing and change theirs accordingly so theirs is (hopefully) better.

That said, your letter structure is pretty nice. I like the simplicity of the letters, it works well with the colour scheme of the piece. Everything else around it in red and black takes away from the piece itself, kinda crowds it too much. Not enough room for just the piece to breathe.
But yeh mate, it's a reasonably solid entry I'd say. Good luck.

Fair enough, that makes sense to a degree. You will certainly progress a whole lot more if you can write anything as opposed to just your name so I see the logic in what you're saying although (I think) you should enter to try and win, because if you end up getting to the point where you're winning most of the battles here then you know for sure you're getting better ay.

Seyar, that first one is dope. you should cut the 3d off sooner though and not have it going all the way to the vanishing point. also that one s is dope as well. Personally on the first one im not digging the kind of extension bar on the R leg.

seyar- not diggin the extension on freestyle's y, but otherwise shit looks ace. 3rd one has most potential, imo, if you can get all the other letters to fit that style.

BS- it's not my personal favourite style; normally i like negative space, but it just isn't working on that one, imo. the fill is nice, as is the background, just not my taste. I think it's the lack of 3-d on the letters, but the background is caving in. it looks a smidgen flat. But, if it works for you, it works.

Rank- Nice, simple, love the fill. would be a clean panel. reminds me of the cat PAST up here in germany. Good stuff.

I would say that the colours are a little too much, I'm not sure how the 3D colour and the fill colour work, I would personally have gone for a grey tone 3D with such vibrant fill colours. But keep working at it, you don't learn unless you try! But focus more on your letters, don't worry about extensions yet, maybe cut the 3D back don't have it going all the way back to the vanishing point because those letters are pretty skinny. But work on the letters, I'm not actually sure what it says.

thanks guys. yeah blunted i usually have the same problem. the brim on that charac is even off but these were just some marker freestyles i put together real quick to emphasize the text. i can draw brims on a hat if it's sitting straight but when i try and crook the hat a little to the side i usually mess it up.
