The way the letters are positioned reminds me of Charlie Browns T-shirt its some kind of funny zig zag thing happening. Space your letters out and straighten them. Also put some 3D behind it and take that block out from behind the w and the hole out of the k. I think its got potential.

Really? Focal points to me are in this order: Tie, Plugs, Coffee pot, teeth, eyes.

the most contrasting things in the piece are the tie (red on a white background) and the coffee pot (black on white). it definitely draws your eye away from the charac. i feel you should have moved homeboy over to the right just a tad bit so in order to glance the coffee pot you have to look past his shoulder. just my opinion.

alright so i've been trying to get a little more complicated with my steez. i didnt piece for the longest time so it's taking me a while to get back into the swing of things. but anyways here's half of a piece i'm currently working on for school.

I think if you can pull off a sick fill that will be tight. Although the letters remind me of something H.R. Geiger would do. I think its the P and R it looks like the alien (movie) head. Reds and greys with some flames maybe? And don't go too crazy with the extensions (Lose the one on the bottom of the E)!

it's not finished. i just havent gotten around to adding the rest of the extensions in. this isnt even half the piece and it takes up a full page so i'm working in small sections. plus as i stated i dont have much experience with extensions so i'm taking my time so i can fit them in properly.

and i already know all the colors i'm using for this meanmug. this is for a skateboard deck project in my 2D class. basically i'm going to have a heaven/hell war scene going on and the piece will be in the middle. should come out sick but we'll see.

Nah, I meant the bottom part. The way it slants inward and to the right makes it seem different from the rest of the letters and fucks with the flow. Try pulling it in and rounding it out more? As if you were doing a C with a bar through the middle.

But I just realized how fucking dope that E is. Mind if I take something similar for a spin? I'm getting sick of my same E every time.

Word the little bar across the top of your letters it exactly what I use to do. But I must say you pull it off well.

Your P is fire, and IM digging that RG the E too. FUck diggin the whole thing. Just make your G a little bit bigger like .od said and you'll be set. I think it would be more visually appealing to me if the R's matched and the G had the same point as the other letters... in the middle of the letter pointing towards the beginning of the word. it's like there is a center point pushing over, over, over and then the G pushes over the other way as well as the second R.

I could draw on ur shit if you wanted to know what I mean and didn't get what I mean, but at the same time it's way beyond my level. looks fresh. peace.

One thing I've noticed about your work is that you're "highlight crazy". I dunno if that is what your going for but the highlights in the black (3D) kind of pull your eye away from everything else.

Personally I would get away from using the highlights in the 3D all together. Go with lighter color that kicks off your fill.

Also your highlights in the fill give your letters a blown up balloon look get them closer to the edges and watch the line weight. Do what you did in the star in the letters and it would look a lot better.

Theres to much empty space and your bars need to be a bit thicker with that style. The whole card idea is cool but the graphic isent even the shape of the intened letter and throws off the flow of the word, The next step for your graffiti is try bringing the letters closer together and have them flow together more smoothly.

Your letter proportion is all off, your bar thickness is all over the place. theres no flow to the piece at all. The highlights in the 3d dont look like highlights at all they look like polka dots.

you took like 3 steps backwards with that. go back to the other letter style youre doing and improve on it instead of trying something completely new.

That Seyar is nice, i am digging that thicker bar style at the moment, only thing that kills it is the pink blobs in the 3D, i can see how this style could develop some nice connection s like the E to the Y and the A to the R with the S just kicking off the flavour to begin with.
