Hearr!- I think you definitely are on the right track, and I like the cracks I just think you have too much of them, keep working on the relish though, keep the lines nice and clean, I have the same problem where I just draw shakey lines but it gets better with practice

I agree with the person that said lose the extentions and focus on letters.
heres something really quick I came up with using your bends and losing the extentions. you can use this example to go on. Its not the greatest but the letter stucture is ok and it does not use all those little details to hide bad letters.

OAT- i think you have what is called "the funk". the piece is pretty good, but i think you broke the like too much between the A and T though.

Also, what I would change is the curvy part of the E, I'd maybe pull it in a little closer, or make it to where its not so curvy, just a little blockier to go with the other letters. But again, all imo.
