Doom- The top one is the best by far because it&#39;s simple whereas the other two...Well, the other two just don&#39;t look right. I see you&#39;re outlining them. That&#39;s a valuable tool to learn where overlapping letters work and don&#39;t work. Did you learn anything about those tags after you outlined them?

Noa3p- Honestly, you should start over entirely. That just doesn&#39;t make sense.
Start with simple letters and study tags in the main tags thread and on the street. A unique tag can be a good thing, but that&#39;s pushing it too far. You&#39;ll get no cred from it. The flow is all over the place. I&#39;m not beefing. I&#39;m just trying to help. ;)

Go off the basic form of the letter and pull on it. Punk it out. Ya know?

*Look at other peoples work, dont nic it, but look at it, learn from it
*Write, write write write write write write write
*start off with normal lettering and just write, speed it up after a while and just wait for shit to happen
*practice, alot
*write, write write write write write write write




its not easy, my tags have all met with negative crits too, just try to get your own style. I dont know about you, but i have found coming up with a good tag/handstyle to be one of the most fucking frustrating things ive done recently.

You make me happy. :) Sometimes I think nobody actually listens to critiques if it&#39;s not positive, and then I see this post of you helping somebody else and repeating all the advice that was given to you, that&#39;s really cool yo. ;)

For your crit- first off- it&#39;s a good start on the word. I would go ahead and play with the M and the E a little. I personally think the M would look better pointy rather than rounded, but that&#39;s a personal preference. I would also bust some wild shit off the end of that K to give it some flair, but you might not be ready for that yet. That chisel tip marker is alot more fun to write with isn&#39;t it? Chisel tips make mediocre stuff look alot better. It takes talent to rock a regular pen with style.

One thing to remember in general...- When you first start, you&#39;ll naturally have a sort of stunted flow.. The more you write, the more your flow will develop and it will just happen naturally. You&#39;ll still need to pay attention to what you&#39;re writing and always looking for new ways to punk out a letter, but there will be a suttle change going on with your flow as well and that will improve your stuff alot more than anything else. This is just something you&#39;ll notice as you evolve your steezy. It&#39;ll continue to evolve as long as you continue to write and take an interest in your handstyle too.

Yea, the reason is the spring that is located inside the pumpvalve is from a Woodcraft and it doesn&#39;t pump that well because its to big. I think that will either cut it down or take it out completely. Yea I&#39;ll try different ways didn&#39;t mean it like his opinon is stupid or anything just that between that and the one I posted earlier this week the lastest one looks better and I&#39;ll give the star thingy a try. Thanks fo the fast response it seems like you are always there to give good fuckin advice.

1st and 2nd one. Alot better. The extension on the E is nice. The one on the S is forced. You could take that off. If you&#39;re settled on writing that, I would suggest doing this- Write each letter seperately a bunch of times. A BUNCH. Focus on them and find different ways to write them, then work on piecing together a tag.
The S and the A need work, The rest is actually pretty nice. ;)






MAIN 1- I like the letters better. Now focus in and slow it down. Try each letter individually (like I told Doomsayer) develope some character with them, then speed it back up. Try and be expressive and sharp if you&#39;re using a chisel tip also. They can add ALOT of charachter to letters.




Just a reminder to all working on their handsteez..- --Walmart sells double packs of black chisel tip markers for 83 cents. They also sell notebooks for 10 cents each. Load up. It&#39;s cheap.

My process for this was-

-Take pic of myself.
-Upload it and use the "coloring book" effect from Kodak Picturesaver program to pull out the traceable lines. Print pic.
- Use &#036;11 projector to project the image onto poster paper (&#036;3 a roll at most hobby stores.) Trace with pencil. Ink it with permanent black marker.
- Spray some clear coat lightly above the finished product.

Done deal. ;)

Alive- I like it. Pull that R out a bit and it&#39;s good to go. You should try going from small to large letters too for the occasional switch up. Give it kind of an exploding or busting out effect. As far as the halo, I used to use them too, but alot of people discourage it because it&#39;s now reserved for people who hit heaven spots.

I was cookin some dinner for my wife. ;) Your tag looks alot better The M The A the 1 all solid. You could jazz upp the I and the N a bit just by giving it a LITTLE curve or swagger. You have a cool idea with the A but I would like to see it without the leg thing on the left side and just straight bust out a number 4 in place of the A "since that&#39;s what it looks like. The arrow extention isn&#39;t a bad idea, but it&#39;s conected to the A and going in an entirely unnatural direction. Dissconect it and it&#39;ll be fine.


....Sometimes I feel I&#39;m going overboard with the crits. If so, just tell me to fuck off. :P

SARE- work on the bottom one, ditch the top.

distorted - i like it but ur H(or first letter) doesnt really fit the rest of the tag in my not so professional opionion

sare - keep up the bottom one, and look through the last few pages of the thread for some valuble advice, like writing out each letter of your name sepperatley a lot. i just tried it and it helps.

alive - i like coer too, but either way ur sigg with coerce is purty good

DISTORT- shorten the first stroke of the H, make sure that all the letters reach the same height. maybe round ur A? straighten the N. . . and umm round the H a bit to make it fit. dont worry about outlineing it. thats not gonna happen on the street, and thats what your practicing for here.
