Not gunna post the other couple of pages becuase there all just the same tags. But I did come up with these really simple ones that flow, I can do in one line, and are readable.(It's a nasty picture but it's just for the jist of it.)

Don't join your H to your O like that, it makes your H look like a backwards 4. Same goes for your R. Don't link it like that. The vertical ones look silly (but good on you for trying something different). I think vertical tags need to have wider letters. Your letters are too dissimilar in the vertical tags, your E is really fancy looking and your P is really simple. All the letters look kinda silly - try doing wider letters which are simpler, ones that look more like the letters on your keyboard. You could always try a round/bullet tipped marker as well, they make tags look way different. Your tag should look good no matter what marker you use but some tags suit particular markers - I think mine looks best with a bullet tipped 'cause I have an F with horizontal bars.

Nobody else gets a crit 'cause I can't be bothered looking at the other pages 'cause I'm a lazy bitch.

It's up to you who you listen to though. There's no right and wrong in graff, but there's a general aesthetic, and I feel most people would agree with me. You need to work on style, but that doesn't necessarily mean making your letters look more complex. Some of the hottest tags are simple as. The letters people told you were too simple weren't necessarily too simple, they just needed to be structured differently. Have I explained myself okay?

I think I've gt a pretty simple normal tag down. I use it alot. I can do it in like 5 seconds, I love it. This vertical shit is just for other obsticals like polls and things of more length. It goes from small to bigger because I think it looks better like that.

Riot, lose the arrows, quotation marks and any other extras you've added on, and just work on the letters.

Glyce, lose the underline and quotation marks. Try doing all capitals and don't worry about connecting letters.

Mada focka, lose the stars and the underline thing, make your letters all the same size.

I like pie, it looks like you're trying to make your tag look too much like a tag. I used to do the same thing. Write the word as you would normally print it and work from there.

Messer- Are you trying to do a philly tag? If so you did a horrible job. Throw that tag away and pretend you never did it. Work on something different, because nothing about that tag is good.

I know what you mean, I find with handstyles if you dont think too much into it they come out a lot better. I think thats why if I draw when im stoned its 10x as better because I flow and I relax and shut my brain down.


I still really want to improve my handwriting, from an early age I had problems with spelling, grammar and handwriting and iv worked so hard on all of them. My handwriting is slowly improving and iv found it goes both ways, playing with letterforms helps your handwriting as well as graf. And a good cursive handwriting can form the basis for some sick handstyles if employed correctly.

Oh and you know what I said about spelling and grammar? Well 2 years ago I could hardly type a coherrant sentance, I failed english 3 times and... I didnt use a spell checker or go back and correct anything in this post. There may be some mistakes but for someone seriously dislexic...

I write because I love to write in all shapes and forms! :D

Not called addons or extensions, they're cadels. I know how to make a letter, I've been practicing calligraphy for 3 years.

What I was trying to do was make a tag that stood out, because when there are doors, or walls that have everyones tag on it, no one walking by is going to notice one from the other. Unless your a writer yourself, people are just going to think someone scribbled on the wall. So when I did this tag I was trying to take away the flow from it so a persons eyes just won't fly over it. I wanted to keep the overall form boxy so it kind of had a wall around it from any other tags, this way it would be easier to notice.

The end tell me anything else about what you don't like about them please. Besides hating the cadels which I admit do take away from the tag because they're overdone and look kind of sloppy:p

I like the second tag koolaid. When making your E though, try to make all the lines in one stroke. I dont know if its from the angle you took the pic, but it looks like the top spine of the E is shifted from the bottom. And bring the S up a little, because the tag sorta cascades. My whole tag cascades and I think it looks crappy because of it. Use the A and the S to sorta trap the K and E in. Overall the tag itself is clean and simple. good job

Did you read what I just said? It takes literally less than 5 seconds man, just as fast as anyone else puts up a 7 letter tag, it goes quicker when I don't spell out 1. Speed is not an issue for me, if I walk by a door writing, I'll be done before I'm out of reach. Get it?

pace, shits dope. i'd say just play around with the underline, cause thats the only thing i thinks lacking in the handstyle, everything else is esthetically nice.

melo, feelin that shit. nice and simple with good letters. get some markers and cans and go get that up.

i used a purple krink marker for that one, but shit came out blue on the hand drier which was pretty cool. just fuck around with pens and sharpies for a while. get shit like otr and krink and decos, etc later once you've gotten shit down more. my shits still really wack, so im not really one to give out advice, but get some of those like 300 looseleaf paper packets from staples or walmart, and just fill them with handstyles and throwies. helps shit evolve and sharpen alot more.
