my friend and i are gunna buy off bs and im gunna buy some caps and a marker.. i was reading were it tellz about how the marker is and it said it was drippy and i wanted to witch do you prefer drippy or not drippy and why~
KaOs-OneR
07-13-2005, 01:55 AM
drippy.. when its drippy, it just shows that the lines of the marker, or the outcome, are really really inky and look really full, and the drips in my opinion make it look hotter
if i tag something i usually use spray paint or those paint markers(silver)....but i would deffinetely use a drippy one just cause its fucking drippy man!....i would assume it flows better too....
D0ZeR
07-13-2005, 01:56 AM
i would get a drippy marker because it looks cool to me and if its a good drippy marker it go's down the surface a long way. more damage.
D0ZeR
07-13-2005, 01:58 AM
DRIPS ARE JUST COOLER!!!
especially if its an on the run flowpen.
it depends on what you want. a drippy one will give you a fuller, and if you use it right, a drippy line , and a regular paint marker will give you a regular line, as with any fat-tipped ink marker. keep in mind that with a drippy marker, u gotta move your hand fast or youll waste ink and itll look bad.
Drips suck, keep it clean.
>SM!7K<
07-13-2005, 08:33 AM
yeah , drips are str8 depending on what your throwig up, if your gunna have drips comming through the top and running through you shit , it might look whack, and is you cant move your hand, then youll just have a mess,
i myself like no drips,or some drips but that the end/bottom of my letters
some drips are cool if you can do them right, but nasty ass mop tags with so many drips that there void of all style, form, or letter structure are nasty.

Drips are retarded. They're only nice sometimes. Why do starter kids always want drips?

07-13-2005, 11:54 AM
i like both, it just depends on what i feel like. drips look so sloppy and nice and people who see it are like do they want it like that? but then with non drippy markers you can get some sick flared handstyles goin. but if your just starting you'll prolly want to get as much out of your shit as possible so i'd go with a non drippy marker cause they'll last a bit longer.

get a drippy one if you also have the option of keeping it normal because then you can get drips or not. however if the marker you want is just for drips which I dought just pick it up anyway see how you like the drips if not just go buy another. I personally don't do drips but I still think they look tight
for the most part I like nice and clean tags

flowpens suck. the ink dissapears after a week.
pSYKAOz
07-13-2005, 09:59 PM
flowpens are aight, inks stains well, but all in all its a cheaply made marker that drips more in youre pocket then on the wall haha
drips are fun... but to get anything decent drip wise u need a home made...
then again a clean wide nib is hot for the waves on tags.. that i like with no drips, but only for really flat surfaces
kronik
07-14-2005, 12:23 AM
i have 2 more questionz to ask..... my hand style is pritty basic... u think i should still get the driipy marker.... and duz the ink make it drippy or is it the marker... cux i was thinking if i dont like the drippy can i put the ink in my other marker with the pump?
pSYKAOz
07-14-2005, 12:27 AM
hhahaha the marker makes the drips... with a flowpen u can do clean or drippy tags u choose...

i like the drips in that tag that says they did crack there. i also think that was funny shit.

drips are dop because like this one. they buffed me and my drips are still their i think dozer said it best MORE DAMAGE
CraYon
07-14-2005, 12:56 AM
Drips are nice. but I think more damage is bullshit cuz with that wasted ink, you can prolly do 2 more clean tags. I do way more clean stuff then drippy...And on a few occasions, I've fucked up the letters for not moving the marker fast enough. I've still got a fucked up drip tag running (I left it too long for the E and it looks like an O now...), and I see it every morning. Damn it looks awful.
Drips always makes a tag stand out more...I'll more notice a drippy tag over a clean tag first...

yeah, drips is like a major waste of ink, kronic, just get a flowpen, if people have problems with the ink which quite frankly I think is bull #### just get a different type of ink it's no sweat, and no flowpens don't suck, they're actually descent you just need to know how to use them. :)
the upside is chronic, you can use a flowpen(or paint marker) to do drippy or normal tags, and they're good if you don't want to spend more money at the time buying a montana paint marker even though the inks better. The manufucturer for Flowpen is OTR(on the run) and they're on this site. Hope that clears up any confusion, the mods should close this when possible now.

huuuuuuuuuuuuh?
a montana better then a flowpen???????
helloooooooooo?
u can fucking SCRATCH off montana ink with youre fingernail... and it doesnt leave ghosts and the ink fades to white in the sun.
at anyrater if you like drips, flowpens and montana alike both suck for drips. just use a mop or a homemmade, thats the only way to get decent drips. as for waste of ink... just use thinned antirust bucketpaint in a mop, cheap and easy to rack plus u can mix youre own original colors..
but if youre really into ink, then get some marsh, in america its pretty much the most permanent ink u can get and its not that expensive either... i personnally love nero inferno ink mixed with flowpen ink though... dripdrippaaa...

are YOU kidding? DAMN its SOO hard to have a bottle and pour 1 part bucketpaint and one part paint thinner into it. since your not that smart, i will dumb it down for you- thats half and half. and SHIT putting a spong or erasor on some type of container with a bottle neck is really hard too, i mean, it MUST take over a day to do. maybe you should just stop to think that your not smart and dont know what your talking about. you want a perminant marker, well the thing is no matter how "hard to buff" the marker says it is, a store bought marker isnt. and no, flowpens do not give decent drips. shut up.

wow, man let's not jump to conclusions here, don't be confused that just becuase I don't make homemade markers at the time, i don't know alot about graffiti, that would be just dumb there's much more to graffiti than markers buddy, alot more and if you don't think so your not understanding something. cans hell no drippy, markers can depend on the effect you are going for, make sure you keep a clean marker aswell

drippy is ok as long as you dont make it look like shit and you cant even read the fucking tag, put clean is how i do most of my marker tags unless its on glass(drippy on glass is sick 2 me).

drips. ink drips make tags harder to buff. more surface area that is. some bufferman tried to buff drips instead of tags! hahahaha, what a dumbass.

not drippy. they're played out. bump for clean lines and smooth tags
Divine89
10-26-2008, 01:37 PM
i like both, it just depends on what i feel like. drips look so sloppy and nice and people who see it are like do they want it like that? but then with non drippy markers you can get some sick flared handstyles goin. but if your just starting you'll prolly want to get as much out of your shit as possible so i'd go with a non drippy marker cause they'll last a bit longer.
i agree, i personally like drips on the bottom of my letters.
and for starter kids, if you get a drippy marker/mop you'll run out of ink twice as fast. if you have a nondrippy morker/mop you'll save ink.
more ink=more tags
