Ever since the first homosapien found an activity particularly amusing, our species has embraced comedy and found it nearly pivotal to modern life.

I'd like to start this thread with a mention of one of the greatest comedians ever.

however, it seems like it's impossible to laugh at stand up comics. i remember giggling to chris rock back in the day. but it seems like all modern day stand up comics are corny as hell, they move around alot to make things funny, use props to make things seem funnier than they are... shit's whack

dane cook is a comedian i was referring to. he moves around alot. "and i was like WHOA!" (moves back like he just saw a ghost, audience cracking up). just watch him next time, you'll know what i'm saying.

whatever though i can't even lie, dude's got a couple good jokes, but he's no better than any other standup comic to me. he's just publicized(sp?) like a mother fucker. comedy central, every fucking commercial break, dane cook's on that shit.

Daniel Tosh's first show on comedy central was hilarious, but his second one tried to push it too hard and he ended up turning into a really distasteful/unfunny insult comic, who doesn't even insult anyone inparticular but instead boarderlines Carlos Mencia group-based remarks. .
