streaks are great for catching tags on any rusted spots. they'll run for many years and they usually dont buff rusted spots. if they do, they just paint over it.

they're in the same isle as the permanent markers... usually right next to the pentels and white sharpies. come in a package that show a car windshield being written on, and the meanstreak is in a big glossy white tube.

take a razor blade.
get 2 sakuru's (or w/e u use)
cut from top to bottom.in the middle
of both.

place 2 different colour's easy stick em together.
an put back in the marker shell..

yeah, to mix sakuras, you first put em in the freezer to harden them, then you twist the bottom till the whole stick comes off, you do that to the other color you want to mix, then you take a razor blade, and cut both of them in half, put em together, leave em like in your pocket or somethng kinda warm. wait till they bond, then leave em in the freezer again to harden. then ur all set.

Streaks are awesome for glass and stuff but they wear down way too quick. Takes like 1/4 inch of it for 1 tag.

and you can buy THOSE anywhere (to answer the question above). like any art store. Of course there is the most famous brand for writing (sakura/meanstreaks), but if you take into account what it is, it is a basic utencil used for art. So, if you can find the main writing brands then go for the one that real artists use (lol).
The only problem is that sometimes the basic onces don't have the twisty despenser thingy.
Just ask for them.
I don't know the technical name...just ask for like, solidified paint sticks or some shit.

and there is not a chance that solids are the best thing to tag with, theyre good for metal, i wouldnt waste them on much else, and i would take a flopen over a sakura anyday, they're cheaper, re-fillable and work better on more surfaces

When i was just a couple months in i TRIED MAKING my own streaks.....(horrible results though....)
When i tried mixing mine the first time i had nooooo problems......IN FACT i mixed a black and white one didnt like it and put them back together in a matter of minutes.....its pretty fuckin simple
And yes you can get them at most art supply stores or home depot if your lucky but if you find no luck there you get them at a graff store...yeah its pretty fuckin simple....
I dont think there giving out free samples anymore on websites but you can try...

a flowpen is cheaper than a sakura eh? sure the flowpen costs more but sakura run out quick as a motherfucker, you get twice as many tags out of a flowpen than you do a sakura. and using a sakura on wood is a fucking waste you dickhead, it doesnt come out smooth and looks wack, it only looks remotely good on wood if its a lacuered surface, metal is the only surface that i would use it on. and what are you on thinking that white and yellow solids are best? they fade the easiest you dumb fuck, the pigments that are used arent as fade resistant as darker shades like purples greens and black. and on top of it, how the fuck are they the best thing to tag with? they are over priced and last for a few tags, they look cool and a re hard to buff but still id rather spend my money on shit that is re-useable and lasts. and if you are going to use a solid, just grab a meantreak or something, their cheaper and serve the same purpose.

I cop them from my autoshop at school...they are rather chalky, but they are pretty permanent and dry quickly....and are tough as hell..prolly 20 tags on my and its not even worn half way....good shit. Not as smooth as paint sticks.
