not necessairily writers, but anybody whos from where youre from thats famous or somethin like that. or just famous in your area. i think the biggest hometown hero of a writer from Hartford or CT in general is probably Geser cause hes been doing it for such a long time and hes gone to other countries just to paint and shit and hes recognized by people from all over. also one of the bigger bands in hardcore today is from CT, Hatebreed. theyre new music and fanbase isnt too great, but man, under the knife was such a hot album of theirs.
